John Farnham (blonde guy) - singing in Australia since 1967!! He is the most amazing live performer. Jimmy Barnes( in tuxedo) front man for an Australian rock band "Cold Chisel". He also has had a very successful solo career, since the 1970's. Both are adored by Australia. We've loved and emjoyed their music for over 40 years. Diesel is a reknown Australian guitarist. This version has fewer views because there are several more popular versions of the duo/trio. Diesel is married to the sister of Jimmy's wife, and a very talented singer in his own right. Jimmy was in the band Cold Chisel from 1973 (age 16) to 1984 when he started his solo career, which continues today, with him topping 10,000 performances. John was a teen pop idol (King of Pop 1969, 70, 71, 72, 73) from 1967 (age 18) to 1979, briefly lead singer of The Little River Band (1982 to 1985), but is much better known as a solo singer with incredible backing musicians and singers who have mainly been with him for decades. John has had a number-one record in five consecutive decades (60s to 00s). He was selected as Australian of the Year in 1987. John is much loved by Aussies as much for being a down-to-earth and generous guy as for his amazing talent. Jimmy still performs today, John is currently rehabilitating from removal of a mouth tumour. Both have kept their range and power across the decades.

They are AUSTRALIAN performers and have been around for DECADES. John Farnham is my favourite. He is a singing genius with a big vocal range and can sing in over 20 genres. John is a consummate showman, is sooo charismatic and has amazing rapport with his audience when in concert. He has won many music awards, the 'Australian of the Year' award by the Federal Government, had long running top singles and albums, had books written about him and recently and a documentary film named, 'Finding The Voice' has been recently released. He is known as 'The Voice' from his hit song, 'You're The Voice', which is known around the world. Midway in his career, John decided that preferred to stay home in Oz to be close to family and friends, rather than to pursue fame in other countries. There are a lot of his videos on You Tube. ALWAYS choose LIVE concert clips as this is where John shines. His concerts with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are wonderful. Melbourne is where he had his singing fame start, in the state of Victoria, where he and his family live.

Now try : 'When the War is over' (live) Like many Australians, I have loved John Farnham for 50 + years. He is arguably the Greatest Singer Of All Time /in all Countries. John Farnham has had 6 decades worth of Hit songs here in Australia, and he also topped the charts in Europe in the late 80's/early 90's...so you may have a bit of catching up to do now? (Apparently US rejected him because he didn't fit into a particular music genre). Why?...because he is so clever, he sings any and all music genres. He has the most incredible voice and vocal range. He is also a phenomenal performer, comedian and live entertainer. Always try to watch his live performances if you can.

John Farnham’s cover of the Beatles song Help is a must see from the classic Jack concert. Whenever you do a John Farnham reaction. Live performances are best because he sounds so much better live if that’s possible, actually it is! I’ve been to his concerts numerous and he never disappoints! Great reaction

Oooo I’m soooo hyped for you to go on the John Farnham deep dive. You simply MUST. Live over any recording for him! Help with the Melbourne symphony orchestra! Beatles cover! It was his encore after a two or three hour concert. He is royalty down here, and he’s recovering arm from cancer of the throat. Welcome to our Aussie icons! You'll be going down the rabbit hole now. Jimmy Barnes as a solo artist and wit the band Cold Chisel. Diesel as a solo artist who was also in Johhny Diesel and the Injectors, and The Voice: John Farnham.

Both Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham are some of the best of the best artists on the planet, but throw in Diesel who is also an artist and Jimmy’s brother in law and you have some real soul music. Jimmy is number one in my books anytime, anywhere. He was the lead singer of Cold Chisel and solo artist from 1983 onwards. PS Cold Chisel are from the 70’s and their working class songs resonate with us Aussies. They never broke through in the USA but are definitely worth some time. Can’t give you my all time favourite song cause I love them all. Others have commented already about some of their songs, which would be Bow (bow as in Bow Tie) River. Actually the lead is Ian Moss on this particular song, but Jimmy aka Barnsey adds to the tune with his beautiful falsetto. Live of course ….and I would suggest the version from their concert at Ringside in 2003 (although the band ceased in 1983 they have toured together since).Also, their song, When the war is over from the same performance is 🔥. Then there is the cover of the Troggs’ Wild Thing to see Jimmy really rocking it out. Add to that Choir Girl, Breakfast at Sweethearts, Saturday Night, Forever Now, Cheap Wine, and Four Walls just to name a few. Jimmy’s solo career is now nearing 40 years as well with songs like Driving Wheels, Working Class Man, Too much ant enough love, Stone Cold, and many many more. In fact he has had a lot of number 1 records in this country, so many I forget. Throw in his collaborations with so many artists and you could be rocking out for years to come. Diesel aka Mark Lizotte was the lead singer for Johnny Diesel and the injectors, but married Jimmy’s wife’s sister so they are brother in laws. He can really sing and play that guitar. John is Farnham or Farnsey, is also worth your time. He is currently recovering from mouth cancer and I understand had to have some of his jaw removed. Jimmy is the other guy and diesel part of jimmys band. Jimmy was from cold chisel (80’s ) band but solo now. John mainly been solo artist apart from his stint in “the little river band”. Diesel also went solo artist all are very talented in their own right but John and Jimmy were huge over here in Australia. We’ve had the pleasure of John’s phenomenal voice for over 50 years and Jimmy for over 40 years. Plenty of stuff out there for you to explore on both of them, especially John.

Who are these Guys?.. they are Gifts to the World we have all known about , so thankyou for checking them out now. The Album entered the charts at number 2 and the movie has broken all cinematic records for a doco in Australia. Both John and Jimmy have huge followings of loyal fans❤😊

I've seen all 3 in concert, their all separate Artists. Farnham started in the 60's, Jimmy the 70's & Diesel the 80's. Jimmy & Diesel are Brother inlaws, but all 3 are friends. Barnsy & Farnsy (as they are called) like to have screaming competition during the songs, you will pick them up during different performances.

This song Soothe me with Sam Moore was released just after Jimmy turned 66 and his voice is still incredible and Sam Moore from the group Sam And Dave is 86 years old and is amazing.

Jimi Barnes short dark hair was in a band called Cold Chisel, John Farnham started in the late 60’s pop star also sang lead for Little River Band short time and mainly solo artist. John best songs Your the Voice, Help, Longway to the top if you want to Rock n Roll with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and his band best show ever and performance, any Cold Chisel songs Bow River.

It still blows my mind that there are people who haven’t heard these icons. Jimmy’s band, Cold Chisel is arguably the most popular rock band in Australian history (AC/DC fans might disagree). You need to tumble down that Cold Chisel hole. There’s at least 10 timeless classics among their collection. John Farnham, great solo artist. Probably the most iconic singer of the 80s. Check out his songs from the concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Johnny Diesel is a great guitarist, and he’s a solo artist as well. Not at the same level as the others, but still well loved and had some hits with his band Johnny Diesel & The Injectors.
