for some reason this was one of my favorite games, right up there with Spyro and Crash

Loved this game as a kid, playing it via emulator right now and it's actually aged fairly decently. Underrated game. Wonder if there's much of a speedrunning community for it, it'd be cool if people found more tech.

nah speedrun community is dead, anyway there's also a PC version if you wanna try it, it's better than the emulator in terms of camera

I remember this game on PS1 as a kid, never finished it, the witch’s world area I’m pretty sure is where me and my brother got stuck

There are 6 possible patterns, so with the first combination I alredy know which one is.

la difficolta' di questo gioco (sviluppato da canadesi, per altro, che sanno il fatto loro a quanto pare) era che gli orologi erano nascosti molto bene. passavi ore a cercarli se giocavi per la prima volta. ore che volavano perche', per quanto complicato, era anche estremamente divertente.

Why do you not use the boost during the ski level ? Pressing and maintaining the hit key will make the character moves faster.

Sto creando una TAS di questo gioco per la categoria 100%, però dal momento che non ho fatto speedrun competitivo di questo gioco sto mettendo insieme tutte le meccaniche e magari anche tricks non consistenti che conoscete, ma che non provate nelle speedrun Avresti qualche fonte da consigliarmi? Ho cercato un server discord sulle speedrun di questo gioco ma non ho trovato nulla :/ Grazie in ogni caso!

ciao! bello il TAS lol. Ci sono 2-3 salti che si possono fare per skippare dei pezzi, almeno per l'any%, nel livello dei pirati e sul pianeta X. Comunque in generale conviene provarli tutti i salti, se vedi lo speedrun c'è una tecnica per fare salti più lunghi e alcuni salti diventano possibili con il TAS. Poi il primo mini boss nel livello pirata, è possibile che arrivino delle bombe da dietro stando tipo nell'angolo e guardando il mare, si può ottimizzare molto. Per il resto non saprei, non ci gioco da molto, esisteva un pezzo di tas di un livello se vedi tipo sul forum su speedrun.com, se fai il TAS in streaming magari potrei darti qualche consiglio xD Buona fortuna ! (Cmq ti consiglio magari di provare a fare speedrun prima per farti una idea generale) ciaooo

@@DEDERTEEE Si, il pezzo di tas esistente è realizzato da Moth, lo conosco, ma è un progetto abbandonato (tas di giochi 3d sono veramente tostissimi, specie con la camera di sto gioco XD) Grazie mille! Si, pensavo proprio di fare delle speedrun per entrare nel mindset giusto, altrimenti ci metterei il triplo del tempo, e gia così la vedo impegnativa Per lo streaming dovrei farlo su twitch.tv/alemastroianni o comunque su discord sono AleMastroianni#6086

How can you cut the magic words? And I think you didn't break an acme at the snow level of the witch world. Probably you played again that level without showing it... however it was a nice game-play...

Hello, there is a sound glitch that is possible to activate and you can do it the first time and then reset the game as many times as you want, no cutscenes, no magic words, saves time in speedruns. Also I break all 10 Acme on that level as you can see the clock when I break the 10th one, what are you talking about ?

Maybe it was too fast and I didn't see you breaking the acme in the middle of the icy lake (around the point that you go up to meet Merlin). Thanks for answering...

Sbaglio o rispetto a ps1 queste animazioni sono molto più fluide e veloci? Io ci gioco su ps1 tutt'ora e non va così veloce😅

si! La versione ps1 in particolare quella europea va a 50hz, mentre quella americana va a 60Hz, il che rende l'intero gioco più veloce e fluido.

RNG = Random Number Generator, There's basically a lot of luck in this game, red bombs, patterns, boss attacks... you can literally lose minutes with perfect execution.
