One tip I’ve found useful in application of the Israeli is to do a wrap once either side of the pressure bar BEFORE going through the bar and reversing wrap direction. This really stabilises the absorbent pad and pressure bar over the wound site. Only caveat is if you are going around a torso or large area where each wrap uses a lot of the tail of the bandage up, you might not have the length for it.
I believe it was a Skinnymedic video that mentioned adding a half twist on the next wrap over the pressure cup to really concentrate the pressure.
The tourniquet is very effective for head wounds.
Hello from Ukraine. Thanks for this very useful video.
Great video. Thank you again for the awesome information.
Thanks for putting together the “Yellowstone” trauma kit! It goes everywhere with me in my backpack whether I’m riding my motorcycle, driving my car, just have it laying around the house or carrying it around almost everywhere I go.

That's awesome! Thanks Brad
I know this is an old video, but I thought id share my first hand experiences. I have had two different Israeli bandages fail at different times with the clip pulling off from the bandage completely. I have since switched to the Olaes Hemcon and I agree with you, i think this might very well be the best pressure bandage on the market currently.

Thanks Richard! I appreciate you letting us know.
Nice video! Could you possibly take a look at the “H” style bandages? They’re made by H&H and were issued to a lot of marines. I got a few from my dad when he retired and am unsure if i should implement them into my kit or not.
Shouldn't you commit to a half twist once you bring that wrap back through the clip of the Israeli?
I couldn't decide so I got both!! Olaes is more versatile that's for sure. Let's hope we won't have to use none of them, and I don't care if they expire or not, when I know I have them ,just in case....
