Erich Honecker, one of the last, and arguably most important leaders of the DDR died, and was buried in Chile. The Germans invested quite a lot into the Allende regime.

Он в 70-е годы служил в ГДР в нашей советской разведроте и он рассказывает, что их гоняли гораздо больше чем мотострелков и он до сих пор свободно говорит на немецком и очень хорошо отзывается о восточных немцах!

Das stimmt , war dabei, wir waren immer gefechtsbereit in 20 min. Da war niemand am Wochenende zu Hause! Hätten wir den Westen angegriffen am Wochenende hätten sie erst mal die Soldaten aus dem Urlaub holen müssen!

И им такими не дали стать после октябрьской революции в России 1917 года, задавив в Германии многие различные коммунистические массовые выступления и тд и тп, в том числе и известную коммунистическую революцию в 1923 году, в октябре, в Гамбурге... Да и Карл Маркс с Фридрихом Энгельсом были немцы...

Были семьи, где оба супруга (и муж, и жена) были информаторами спецслужб и писали друг на друга доносы. Родители писали доносы на сыновей, брат писал на брата. Здоровое общество, чо уж там...

I never could imagine than a song of my native Britanny could have gone so far east !
