People complaining about this being in OKC. What about the 30 years prior, when OU wasn't winning the Natty, and it was still played in OKC? And, this idea just completely disregards all the wins before the tournament begins that OU had, to EARN the right to even play in that tournament. Also, where is it moving to? OKC and what they have put into that tournament, is a huge reason why the sport has grown. So, that's a huge slap in the face in that regard. And there are no other places to play this tournament. It is an event in OKC, in other places it would just be a game. Like the College World Series is an event in Omaha. Also in that regard, why isn't Nebraska some College Baseball juggernaut? Saying this stupid idea, just completely discounts the amazing job Patty Gasso has done with the OU Softball program.

It's too bad that ESPN has a annoyingly screaming lead announcer with a mic boosted to 300% treble -- and who doesn't know when to shut up and allow a scintillating play to tell the story.

As dominant as the Sooners were against Texas, just maybe all the bitching and whining about the venue will cease but I doubt it. It would not have mattered if this game were played out in the middle of some desert. Texas had several more fielding errors than the Sooners I believe.

You are correct. It is clearly stated in the NCAA manual at the end of competition, both teams will be drug tested. So if you think OU is going to fail a drug test, I have bad news for you. This will be the fifth championship series in a row (not counting 2020 since there was no tournament) that OU will have been drug tested. They haven't failed yet. These women are just that good. Cry some more.

They did score first, and we still beat them. Try again next year.
