Oklahoma farmers to our rescue! We called Progressive, our insurance company for over 30 years as we are Crown Customers, thinking they’d be there for us, boy, was I wrong. We got all the coverage along with roadside assistance so we were set, or so we thought. We explained what happened, and we were in the road with no way of moving the truck on 3 wheels. He then told us a wrecker was on the way, yeah. 2 hours later he calls and said they can’t get us a wrecker until tomorrow sometime. We explained again that we were on the highway and can’t leave it overnight. Then along comes Carla, a local farmer lady. She was our blessing that started our other blessings. She called her husband, Clint and he called another farmer, Abel, who brought his huge pay loader and moved our truck and camper out of the road, and suggested we call his friend in Boise City, OK just up the road a bit. Carla stayed with us thru it all until they came, she refused to leave until she knew we were safe! ❤️❤️They wouldn’t take any money from us either. His friend, Mike and helper, David both show up to tow both truck and trailer to town to Mike’s shop then proceeds to fix the truck, in a few hours all was done. Everyday people is what makes the world a better place, not insurance companies for sure. We are canceling our policy with them. The guy that fixed the truck said all the lugs were on too tight, and that’s probably why they sheered off. We are so fortunate I held on and didn’t let the truck go down the bank. There are some good decent people out there. Thank you, Carla, Clint, Abel, Mike, David and Eileen! Thank you Oklahoma and your people! We are so very blessed! We are now in a campground for the night, and tomorrow we head to Dodge. Peace everybody.
