I knew they could print images...but I didn't know they screamed such protestations about doing it lol. Thanks though, this is exactly what I wanted to see.

I'm pretty sure my neighbours would think I was hitting my wife, if I tried to print anything with one of those.

Is that the sound of a printer, or a pig being slaughtered? The first computer my family owned had one of these dot matrix printers. Our parents gave us specific rules that we were not allowed to print anything if one of them was asleep.

Hi, Any idea whats the differences between the ML3320 and ML5520, both are 9 pin, column but I'm not sure whats the difference. I currently have a old ML5520 and need a replacement but looking at the ML3320 due to the lower price. It's required for invoice printing.

To be honest I don't really know the difference, the only Oki model I've used is my ML280 Elite, looking at the specs between the 3320 and 5520, they're pretty much the same, the 5520 just looks more modernised on the outside...

Plenty of dot matrix printers on ebay, not sure about this specific model (I love it too much to part with it!!), but it's whether or not you can make them work with modern OSes that can be the drawback... :)

As on any printer, including laser and inkjet. None achieves actual gray levels (or you would need 256 cartridges)

+jacob cla Hi, I'm not a mac user, but a friend of mine advises to install something called "CUPS" (use a version appropriate to your OS version) on your Mac which will allow you to add the printer to the control panel. I don't know any more than this, but here's a link to the CUPS download: github.com/apple/cups/releases Hope this helps! :)

Well you wouldn't do a print run at 3 in the morning anyway. Modern ones are so much more quiet. I also remember the daisy wheel printers.
