Okay, not 200 pounds. I dunno how much this motor weighs. But it’s THICC.
Just can't get enough of these videos. I own an Indian. As I've mentioned. And I have a Harley in the shop for an oil leak. Typical. Your videos are fun to watch and I learn something with each video. Thank you.
Massive respect to you for ripping into these Chiefs. Glad I'll be able to look back at your videos eventually if I get stuck doing my own repairs!
I just honestly wanna thank you for your time into this educational videos and for staying loyal to Indian fan base because without people like you. These engines will never be work on by their own owners very influential!
well damn!!!!! this escalated quickly! Dr Bicasso in the house! my man! 🎉
Anything can be fixed / repaired / straightened given enough time and money. The real question is would anyone want a bike that has had a bent / straightened frame. Not me, no Sir, not me. Keep up the good work.

True! That’s why it’s a test bench for my learning and projects now. 😎👌🏾
Good on you for taking on these projects and bringing these bikes back to life. Amazing work you are doing. 🎉 I look at this poor bike and think aw heck no this is a parts bike now. 😅
I started riding when the biggest engine was the 74 cu in , beautiful Harley engine . Now engines are over 100 cu in and some with well over 100 horse power. This is a race to oblivion , so I went out and bought a brand new Royal Enfield 350 Hunter , it brings the carefree fun back to motorcycling . Not fast , no bells and whistles , just pure basic motorcycle
Excited to see what "experiments" you do with that chief.
Learn to weld... a good skill to have. I am looking forward to following your rebuild :-)
Holy Chit , nothing is ever easy ! And it seems like every bike you do, it gets more difficult. I was skeptical, but you keep proving you can do it. Good Luck with this as it seems this is going to be a long term build. I'll keep watching....
Tough break, man. Keep at it, though; watching with great interest.
Learning to weld would be another tool in your tool box "and if you can weld your friendship cercal will increase 👍"
Keep up the good work,I learn something new when I check out your vids.I have been a Harley man for many,many years.I bought a scout last year and rode the hell out of it but it's a young mans bike,that thing beat the hell out of my 71 year old body.This yearI bought a Chief Vintage that I really like.Being new to the Indian product I would like to know the ins and outs of the bike that I ride,your vids help out a great deal,keep up the good work.I live up in Ct.
And there it is The Bicasso Custom

Thanks for sticking around 🥹
well.... time to make a chooper 👏😅🤘
Ohhh you could cut the frame and turn it into an old school chopper build!
@BrandonBicasso I like your videos and just subscribed. I was curious how you picked up this Chief Dark Horse. Thanks!!
Im with you on carbon fibre bikes and have been looking at making carbon pieces and one method is to make a fibreglass shell and use something heavy like clay or cement to reinforce it. Then bag it and vacuum the air out and the negative pressure will force it into shape. Also adding black dye to the epoxy will make it look painted
Yuh. When the forks are bent that bad so is the frame by my little experience with them.

Ive had three Scouts with front end collisions where the frame was fine. But the Chief is different at the cross brace, maybe its more prone?

@@jasonshortphd We’re they that bad? I’ve worked on one Japanese bike and a couple of HD's similar and all the frames were bent. The Kawasaki was the worst and the frame was a write off. Easier to buy a used one.
Just found your channel and am so impressed by the presentation of your blog. I currently have a similar channel aimed at the Recreational Vehicle restoration projects and love motorcycle restoration and personal development. I plan on launching a new blog and restorative perspective in the near future but, until then I will have to keep an eye on your channel and and the comments made to make sure that I approach this correctly and not as just another project motorcycle restoration channel. Keep up the amazing work and the only question that I have is, why don't you have any narration for your work as your doing it? Great job though 👏.

Thanks for dropping in. You should def do it! I don’t narrate what I do as most people would rather watch than know the ins and outs. I do have narrated or pieces where I explain things tho!
What's the name/website of that company?! I would definitely be interested in purchasing a roller from them as well. Please share the knowledge
Brandon, maybe it seems to easy. Why don’t you put the motor and wiring on this bike into the rolling unit you have. That way you can spend time looking for a Company that will re bend the frame back to normal without having to have the rolling gear. Some yrs back I bent my frame and I found a Company that re straightened it hour the rolling stock. Just a suggestion.
I say custom frame. Build a chopper. I know it's not really your style but there's not enough Indian choppers out there. Maybe you could find a chopper shop to collaborate with.
Frame correction or turn into a custom chopper.
maybe not a restore... build her into a low slung chopper with an after market frame...Just a thought.
Dude that sucks. It’s really hard when you can’t go look at them in the auction yard first. I am seriously jealous though that you find all these places to farm out work to, I am just not good at it I think.
after seeing some pic of these.. i want one
👍👊

Good looking out. Will consider that.
What is a good price to purchase a wrecked chief that won't make a build cost more than just buying one used that's not wrecked ?
Tbh. You could make that into a profitable side business. Making carbon fiber pieces. Something to think about.

I haven’t stopped the curiosity on it. Just put it on the back burner for now. Expensive learning curve.
How about taking the forks off the flood bike?
@BrandonBicasso

I could but I don’t want to touch it. It’s complete.
Where do you buy Wrecked Indian's from?

Insurance auctions. CoPart and IAA
🤔 at 5:38 you happen to know a guy…..and he just so happens to have a welder…..jus sayin ✊😜🤙
Cut off the neck..... use back half of frame and make a custom frame. Chopper style!
Can you share the name of the company in Connecticut that sold you the frame you are waiting on?
@BrandonBicasso
Жыл бұрын
A friend at Audette Motorcycle Company.
I read somewhere that cast aluminum frames can't be fixed in a jig. Let us know how that turns out.
@BrandonBicasso
Жыл бұрын
It’s a steel frame.
@sabrewulfgouki7635

@BrandonBicasso Oh! I looked it up, the new mid-chiefs are steel. Good move for Indian, I hope they do that for the big touring models.
Is putting that engine in the Connecticut frame not a possibility?
@BrandonBicasso
Жыл бұрын
It is if I ever get it. I’d swap everything over to that frame. I still want the frame fixed tho.
will helicoil work ?
@BrandonBicasso
Жыл бұрын
Mmm, I don’t think the threads are the issue right now. It’s like half of the screw hole is pulled downward. After welding the bottom of the hole back together, if the bolt won’t grab then, helicoil could be an option.

@Brandon Bicasso i thought it just pulled the threads out , you do nice work 👍 ( I'm a welder/machinist/ex bike mech ami circa1987)

In Australia We Call that a Statutory Right Off Which is only used for a Parts Bike, That's Why We only Rebuild Repairable Write Off in Australia, Which is a Inspection Process they do with all accident Vehicles before selling Accident damage vehicles via Auctions to people to buy and rebuild. Not sure if they do that in the States. aka I can Mig & Tig Welding Just bring it to Melbourne Australia bahahahahahaha....
Are you a trained mechanic or are you self taught?
@BrandonBicasso

Shame the frame is damaged.
