    H. -Tool. It's my favorite song by them and is about Maynard and his struggles with his abuse and how he has a son whom Maynard would never wish that upon him and how Maynard changes his outlook on life because of and for his son. At least that's what I take from it. They never performed it live or if they did, it was less than a handful of times. It's a very personal song to him just like the songs about his mom

If I'm not mistaken, this was TOOL's first hit. Way back in 1992 or 93 or whatever. I literally remember playing this song for my neighbor. I was 18 at the time, living on my own in an apartment building, and dude was 36. He sat there and listened to it and said: THIS CHANGES THE GAME. Maybe you had to be there, but seriously... There was nothing like this back then.

You should know that TOOL also composed a song with a "normal" structure, with acoustic guitar, tempo in 4/4, with introduction, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, outro. Obviously the lyrics are not quite as normal and is absolutely comical, as you can guess from the title. The song I'm talking about is a hidden track on the CD called "Maynard's Dick". I'm curious to see what you think about it .

One of my favorite Tool songs. This album Undertow is amazing. I was a sophomore in high school when this came out. My favorite Tool song is opiate

Nice one, swamp song off this album is good too, this album isn't as 'complicated' as others but it's still has its own unique charm

I'm a little older. So my favorite prison movie is Cool Hand Luke with Paul Newman. It's about a road work crew in the 1950's.

When you said Maynard sounded like Chad Kroeger, I couldn’t stop giggling and it messed my train of thought.

You want a "banger" , the song Crawl Away, from this same album has a groove that just takes me over. I think if you wanna jam to a good one , try this. It's off the Undertow album.

Hell yeah, I've been waiting for this one. I think you should check out "Crawl Away" or "H' Also, you pretty much need to hear "Opiate" at some point.

I was checking out at a liquor store in Wyoming, and the clerk was listening to this. I made a comment about it being one of the greatest songs (I was referring to the groove mainly), and he replied REALLY loudly "Yeah man, and the best part about it is it's about butt-f*cking!!"....like, hahaha I appreciate your enthusiasm dude, but that's the BEST part about this groovin' track?!?? Whew

The guitar ‘solo’ in this song is just so epic (during when Maynard renters after the bridge). Simple, raw, and subdued.

I can relate very well to what you were saying, i started my youtube channel because I wanted to speak on camera and get more comfortable doing so because I have extreme anxiety. My channel hasn’t gotten large or anything but it sure has helped me. So good for you Polo challenging yourself in that way
