I dont think it should be strange at all to think a lot of the dishes on kitchen nightmares look decent even though gordon ramsay rips through them. I mean at face value most of those look pretty "normal" to me, but I can also admit that I dont have high standards when it comes to food and that like 80% of Gordon's criticisms do make sense. Personally all I need is for the food to taste like what it is and be value for money. But then the show also does expose a lot of other things like moldy food and disgusting kitchen, which even I would be grossed out by. Plus if they're asking for help, then clearly the quality and customers they're bringing in with said quality isnt enough to sustain the cost of the restaurant

That's what I, and a lot of other people, like about him too. He worked his way to the top and knows that wait staff isn't at fault for whatever is going on in the kitchen and in management, their job is just to serve the food and in some cases even they feel bad for serving bad food, take into account the fact that they also take all the abuse from customers when it's subpar. He's not below talking back to customers either when they are in the wrong. Bro it’s literally lobster on top of bread, straight up. They don’t even do anything with it. They literally grabbed bread then slide some lobster and added a piece of lettuce as the final touch. It’s an actual disgrace to lobster rolls.
I love that he is just the nicest guy ever to the waitress
i love frozen fried ravioli i would definitely eat that

That "Thank you, hon" at 7:15 f#%king kills me 😂
This blonde woman in the clip where she said ,,He comes from a place where they think Scones are delicious" She continuously takes personal jabs at Gordon and she seems so bitter Like the line ,,I've never heard anyone complain about to much lobster...that's like complaining about having to much money" _dry laughter_ Had me rolling with laughter

As long as it’s cooked, there’s no such thing as a bad pizza.

I hate how he doesn’t even take a bite of the lobster roll he just takes it all apart. TRY IT!

He doesn’t need to try it, doesn’t matter whether it’s nice or not, the amount for one portion is ridiculous in a financial sense for them.
ngl, if that's the thin crust, I genuinely want to see the stuffed crust. I get the feeling that they'd make some godly stuffed crust pizzas if they cooked it a little longer and toned down the grease just enough so the crust wasn't soggy.
I've quoted "It's a ricotta cheese, dude! It's a ricotta cheese!" so many times because of these videos 😂
Ketchup would rock Gordon’s world😂
Everything but the clam chowder I would definitely eat in this video. The pizza would be bomb when you're drunk.
“He’s all tasted that fancy stuff you know “ 😂
I love how they nailed selecting the dishes for this title, lol. I'd say most of these (definitely Pete's old pizza, the Big Buoy, the lobster roll, the Big Bay Club - I mean even Gordon liked the crab in that one -, and the ravioli) are ones where I've gone I'd still eat that tho'. Underrated line: 'It's fat free cheese, dipped in fat'. Shout out to that waiter tbh.
i've never had fried ravioli but the fried ravioli at 9:55 makes me want to try it ngl

Most people would eat 90% of what's on this show 😂
Okay but that fried platter would be so good if it came with a couple dipping sauces.
1:10 don’t you wonder sometimes if that was the thin crust, how big was the thick crust?
the lady saying he comes from a place where they think scones are delicious...what does she mean by that? i like scones☹️

I mean she had a failing restaurant bc of bad food, i wouldn't value her opinion of any kind about food.. Scones are absolutely amazing if made right. She's probably never had a good one

I used to hate scones, but then I tasted a proper one that wasn’t stale and had some really nice jam and butter on it and my opinions were swayed. Making them yourself is good too!

They're known for being crumbly and dry, so it's a funny thing to note since he was complaining about sogginess.
I always thought the pizzas looked absolutely amazing on the show. I can't believe the taste wasn't there. The best pizzas I've ever had look like the one they served Chef Ramsay. The thin crust one with the white wall tire.
0:09 low-key would willingly tear that shit up.

Yea tbh all the stuff Pete is making are top tier hangover food. Would definetly go there sometimes.
I 100% love you for this
Dang that pizza needed like 3-5 more minutes and it would have been Great
That fly from 1:40 and Pete seem to be the only ones who would 100% eat that pizza
When you're half asleep watching these videos and eating a two day old cookie you found at the bottom of your purse, yeah I'll take that "thin crust" lol
*motivational music plays when he ACTUALLY compliments the crab* *music changes as he critiques the rest of the sandwich*
I ate at La Galleria 33 (the one with the shoe salesman manager) about a month before it closed in 2018. Honestly wasn’t terrible. Wasn’t great, but wasn’t revolting. Then again, I’m not a Michelin Star Chef so what do I know.

I’ve heard a lot of the food at the restaurants on kitchen nightmares isn’t as bad as it’s made to look on the show. Although I will say I’m from Boston, and La Galleria 33 was in the North End if I remember right, so there’s lots of stiff competition for Italian food there. They might’ve lasted somewhere else, I think it’s more so their location that did them in
Okay I was hoping this would be a compilation of all the things Gordon actually liked, or at least complimented in some way (i.e. mainly some desserts, and I think one clam chowder). However, if it was, it'd probably only be like a minute long.
