KZ had a severe throat trauma as a young Teenage (not sure of age)But the doctors even had doubts that she would even sing again. After several operations and therpahy. Here is what is Today...she probably will never be able to Belt with super high notes, But when you have Talent and a Gift like this...Who Needs the Belts...Not KZ Kz is not just an Artist She Is a Performer and Can make Any song into a Concert on it's own.....When she did that Rap in "Rolling in the Deep" was in chinese mandarin she heard on the radio on the way to the show...and Had to learn it in just a few days, Cause she wanted to Honor her Chinese Host for inviting her... And she does not speak that language normally..... One other fun fact..producers of the show said ""Adele's version was a woman hurt. KZ's version was the-hell-hath-no-fury-like-a-woman-scorned""

Hi Charlie, I think most people were expecting to see the 2018 Singer performance, but glad that you will react to it. KZ is the most creative female singer that I am personally aware of. You may already know that "The Singer" in China is an annual competition among professional Chinese singers. In 2017 they invited a foreign singer named Dimash as a wildcard and the rest is history (he finished second in the competition to Sandy Lam even though he was clearly the best singer). They invited Jessie J and KZ Tandigan as foreign singers in the The Singer 2018; KZ beat Jessie J in her initial amazing performance of "Rolling in the Deep" (which is what you need to react to) but was later eliminated (even though she was given a second shot at returning). Jesse J won the competition in 2018; Hua Chenyu finished second. In 2020, Hua Chenyu won The Singer competition. I suggest that you react to Hua Chenyu's 2018 Singer performance on "Nunchucks" (Hua Chenyu is most creative male singer I am personally aware of- he is a chameleon with no specific genre)- it will blow you away.
