It's hard to think of them as villains because in reality they're just 2 kids trying to get by in a tough world. If you take CDDH as canon, they had a terrible homelife that lead to them acting the way they did. Dio's been shown to charm characters like Polnareff, Abdul and Kakyoin so to say that he charmed and manipulated 2 kids into his bidding in exchange for "peace of mind" or money to live off of. Sorry for the rambling, I just really love these 2

@@BitOfUltraviolence if you read CDDH or saw his appearance with Hol-horse, you would know that he has an unhealthy dependance on Thoth and Boingo and usually relies on one (Boingo mainly) for any semblance of makeshift confidence to do ANYTHING risky, so he was never evil or conniving just hyping up his own cowardice to take control for once since Thoth isn't even his stand (if he got the stand virus he would end up like holly) and Thoth itself only shows what "fate" would occur inevitably

He would have made a great friend of Polnareff. I have yet to read CDDH but I know he meets Mariah. She is another one I liked. One of my mains in the ASBR game. Imagine if the two had a child or two together. Both Stand users.

@@BitOfUltraviolence remember that time the crusaders jumped out of a high building because DIO was THAT MENACING, Hol-horse is a straight and justified coward (Fugo style) so piquing DIO's interest already set his fate in Vibranium PS: he needs full concentration on his "specific target" for his shot to hit accurately any distraction or Suprise deviation of said target will derail his shot accordingly (example: Polnareff's sneeze) so him relying on allies is heavily justified and he would hate Polnareff due to their clashing fighting styles and would end up his rival dying to save him (Iggy style)

I mean after predicting Jotaro was gonna die by his head getting split in two, he also predicted he was gonna die by getting shot in the head; only one of those things happened, and it was Oingo who got split in two, not Jotaro himself Him dying the same way many years later was a mere coincidence

Trivia time: This is a tribute to Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman's band (famous composer who wrote the theme tune to The Simpsons, and scored many of Tim Burton's films, including providing the singing voice for Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas). Oingo's singing is supposed to sound like the big man himself, and IMO he's nailing it 🙌 Also, if you want to compare this to an Oingo Boingo song, go listen to Dead Man's Party to hear the influence. OB are just a great band overall, was so happy when this aired 😍

In the ps1 version of heritage for the future, there is an EXTRAS option that is stylised like the oingo boingo book. You can view all character's endings there, and they are all drawn in the oingo boingo style, including kakyoin and DIO (DIO is especially very funny!)
