Oily Spinach potatoes - Aloo Palak - By Vahchef @ vahrehvah.com

.Aloo palak is a very easy and simple recipe with a combination of cubed potatoes and chopped spinach cooked with masalas and red dry chillies. Serve this subzi hot with rotis or parathas.

Ingredients:
Spinach 1 c
Potato 1 c
Mustard seeds 1 ts
Cumin seeds 1 ts
Hing
Ginger garlic paste 1 tb
Turmeric
Chilly powder 2 tb
Coriander powder 1 tb
Salt
Directions:
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, ginger garlic paste, and add potatoes, turmeric, spinach, lid on it cook for some time in a medium flame, and add chilly powder, coriander powder, salt, cook for 3 minutes, and switch off the flame.
Serve this hot with chapattis, rice.

Goodness gracious me I made some Indian paneer cheese, but it did not separate.... and being Scottish I don't want to waste anything so I added the milk (with added cumin) to my Saag Aloo and do you know what, butter my bollocks then deep fry them, it has turned out splendidly.
I made this few times and every time I cook it my husband and kids love it thanks for the video x

Super recipe. I am almost done about one more minute left to the cooking. I just added the coriander powder and red chilli powder and salt. I had three boil potatoes from the other day and one raw potato so I fried the raw potatoes for a few minutes then added the seeds and hang then later just before I added the spinach I mashed the 3 boiled potatoes and added it in. This thing is smelling awesome thanks to Sanjay. Sanjay my wife and I first discovered you in 2008 when we were living in South Korea we are in New York City now. We watched so many of your recipes over the past 10 years almost 10 years now thank you so much we always remember you

Namaste VahRehVah and a very happy day to be eating curry it is. I love Aloo Palak and really go to town with the cumin seeds. At the end of cooking today I added a tin of coconut milk and some sliced tomatoes. Goodness gracious me what a beautiful curry it has turned out to be...

I made exactly that way but put some fresh grated coconut ;the taste and aroma was fantabulous with hot rice and paratha. Thank you. How to send that photo, if I may ?

Hello Sir. I follow all your dishes. This one I tried a bit different. I added chopped onions in the oil first. (In marathi we say ''fodni''). Let it cook till it shrinks and become bit dark brown and then the same process suggested by you. It gives a good taste of fried onions while eating. May I know sir why didn't you add onions?
