"It only ever happened on that one occasion" and i still don't really know for sure ? . That was Redline 20w50 full synthetic engine oil , For many a year I've occasionally added a splash or two "perhaps maybe 50ml" of Castor based oil into the fuel tanks of my bikes just as an upper cylinder lubricant "Plus I really like the smell" 😊 ... maybe it had a bad reaction with the Redline engine oil , who knows ?? .. I did contact Redline oils HQ over in the US but they didn't really give me the impression they could even be bothered to look into what might have caused it . I had practically no feedback whatsoever from them as to any possible causes to why the oil might have waxed up like that ? .. I know by my own account that mixing castor oil into blend with other oils is a big "No No" but i'm only burning it occasionally above the piston .. Anyway >> I've since stopped using Redline oil inside the engine and have now switched over to using the Australian brand of Penrite 10 Tenths Racing 20 Engine Oil - Full Synthetic 20W-60 for the last couple of years .. I still add the occasional splash of Castor based oil and luckily up to this day nothing like this has ever happened again while using the Penrite oil , so it looks like i'll be making the switch over to using the Penrite engine oil permanently from now on in all of my bikes ,
