If you really want to make it feel 100x better, heat it up before applying it to your hair!!!! Test it on your wrist first, to make sure it doesn't burn you, before you just start dropping hot oil on your scalp lol. But apply the hot oil to your hair and scalp, and let it sit under a cap for 10 to 30 minutes, or use the time to massage your scalp with the oil in, and THEN rinse it out. So luxurious, massive hair growth & length retention 😭. Don't be afraid to mix in something like peppermint, rosemary, neem or lavender for growth benefits, or even add something like tea tree oil, oregano oil, or blackseed oil so it doubles as an antifungal or antibacterial, so the oil doesn't cause buildup or fungus in the follicles.

I have been doing the oil rinse step after my condioner for a good minute, and I can testify it makes a huge difference in sealing in the moisture on my wash day. My 3 items would be Fenugreek, because I can apply it to my hair, season some food and even make a cup of tea with it..lol and my second would be olive oil because I can apply it to my hair, cook with it and apply it to my skin. Lastly would be Aloe Juice because I can apply it to my hair and skin and also drink it. To sum it all up. I'll continue to have healthy hair, skin and liquid intake. Thanks again thank you and bless you Miss Tanya❤️

Oil rinsing is a game changer. I went in all the way. Every week I did a combination of oils, so every was day my crown received at least 6 to 8 oils. From pumpkin to grapeseed to avocado. My only issue - my bed linens suffered till I figured out a way to balance oil rinsing. My time capsule will contain my hair journals with notes & diy receipes, preserved herbs seeds to grow the sustainable hair treatments ( like mint, rosemary, cloves, Alma, rosehip, chamomile, sage, sorrel, cinnamon, sage, curry leaves, ayurvedic herbs) and the forgotten herbalist dictionary (bk explaining & identifying each plant). This way healthy care is always passed onward & new findings will be discovered. Why - more people will be multi cultural therefore combined.

This is crazy how you create a video like this because I literally did this with olive oil 2 weeks ago and put my hair back into a protective hairstyle which is box braids and I spray my hair down with my clove water everyday. It’s not for everyone because it can get really oily and messy but what I do personally I wash some of the oil out and seal it with a leave in conditioner than I air dried my hair for at least 2hrs or little longer depending on how busy I am than I quickly kill my hair with my blow dry lol and do my protective hairstyle.

I was so excited when I saw the email for this video! I love oil rinsing for my hair. I just started it in the past few months. I oil rinse after shampooing and then condition after the oil rinse. I'm still experimenting with different oils. Avocado oil is one of my favorites. I even use it on my skin as my moisturizer. I plan on trying safflower oil, palm kernel oil, shea nut oil and apricot oil in my future oil rinsing.

@@stephaniemaybin2755 she suggests doing it AFTER conditioning… oil works as a sealant to lock in products… so that would make sense… conditioner on top of oil may not be doing any good… especially if the oil prevents conditioner from penetrating

@@MissMISSYssippi I totally understand what you're saying. I just shared what worked for me. In a way, it's like the LOC versus LCO methods. I like the liquid (water), oil, conditioner combination. The liquid, conditioner, oil method is good too.

Fenugreek contains protein so I would be careful because you’re low porosity, probably protein-sensitive. If your hair loves fenugreek oil then use fenugreek oil.

I haven't tried oil rinsing, per se, but I'm open to it. When I used to apply coconut oil to my soaking wet, freshly washed hair before my leave in, I didn't have a problem retaining moisture. My time capsule would consist of Eden Bodyworks' Coconut Shea leave in & souffle, plus the Eden Bodyworks Citrus hair and body butter.

i definitely wanna try this but since the products i like to put after washing are water based (aloe vera, leave in) won’t oil rinsing kind of block them from getting into the strands

Thank you for explaining how to do an oil rinse. I tried it after watching your first video talking about it and my hair was so oily my boyfriend now calls me his little French fry 😂 i somehow thought rinsing my hair after defeated the purpose. I would put vo5 strawberry conditioner (AMAZING detangler for the price), fenugreek seeds, and either flax seeds or eco styler in my time capsule.

Is this better than using hair grease? Currently, on wash day, i apply aloe/ clove water and then hair grease and let my hair get 80% dry then add in my leave in.... Soooooooo trying to figure out how to incorporate oil rinsing .. thanks for your input! 😘🥰🙋🏽‍♀️
