the rubbing technique has become a favorite of mine when glazing. I let the layer underneath dry and then apply a thin layer of color and then rub it off, it created really beautiful effects. I love when artists show their unconventional techniques, it can help bring a lot of life to an otherwise basic painting
This was wonderful. I appreciated everything about it. Seeing the process unfold, the honesty and authenticity, everything. Thank you.
Thank you so much. This Video and the deepness of your thoughts and processes are an artwork as well.

I love it!! When you started to talk about authenticity and how the sun dropped on your canvas…. Pure magic ✨✨💛

hi jess, what do you mean by the abstracts take 2-3 years? do you work on one piece over these long periods of time?

Hi 🤓 I have about 14 abstracts in I’m working on right now. I find that it’s best to give some time in between layers to allow my relationship with them to develop. If I am working on a series of studies they can take 5 minutes though, so it depends 🖤
