A good oil sampling regiment can also help find a lot of these kinds of issues before they get bigger. In fact, that would probably make a pretty good video. Reading oil samples.

I’ve notice oil in my coolant reservoir after I had a new radiator installed 2 weeks ago due to coolant leaking from the top of the radiator. Truck has never over heated. It’s a 2015 579 peterbilt and it has been well taken care of. Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance. Great video! 👍🏻

My detroit 60 series has oil in coolant resevoir and coolant level has been going down very rapidly as well. Is this head gasket issue? Or a transmission cooler or an oil cooler issue?

I just got this problem a week ago how serious is it should I do it asap and any estimate on 2016 international cummins

Why when I check my oil it looks clear like if I got a new oil change?

Once you fix the problem getting that oil out of the coolant system is a nightmare .you won’t get it all out. Need to put another coolant filter on the engine

wouldn't a relative compression test that shows low compression in one cylinder need to be verified by an actual manual compression test of that cylinder? Ive seen relative compression of a cylinder go from 65 to 95 after a valve adjustment using dddl

Is it possible that a leak..?(oil in coolant can't be fixed)on a DD15?..i have spent 13k and still have oil in coolant..oil cooler and o rings replaced 3 weeks ago..both just check ed out ok @Tulsa freightliner..service manager says next step is going to remove head..est..6k..test cooler was 3 k..was told this may not be the problem...with the 1st time in shop..a follow up and major reflush after..iam at 13k..head removal that puts it at 20k..and a maybe .....do you have any advice..your trouble shooting is totally different from current freightliner shop it is in ..engine has 997k has been very well taken care of..is it possible that this oil in coolant on my engine can't be fixed?and would require replacement????

Your truck has not been properly diagnosed. Take it to someone who knows troubleshooting strategies.

Imagine truck was sitting for weeks trying to find the right oil color for my 2019 Volvo what the x15 Cummins and every time I go to the dealer they end up telling me it’s back order and I won’t be able to get it till 5to 6 months later that was a year ago what I end up doing I had a 2013 Cummins ISX I took the oil cooler out of it and I put it on my 2019 and it’s been running excellent ever since I so be careful guys, I’m gonna go to the dealer they just telling you whatever they see on the system but they’re not giving you the solution!!!!

Why would it take a whole month for a flush????

Oil residue can take a while to completely clear.
