I'm probably preaching to the choir, but King-Ohger was just plain awsome to beginning to End! Just everything from the lore, to the fight scenes to the OST, was just(Chef's kiss) magnificen! The characters were just phenominal. Gira, when I admitted I immediately thought that he was just going to be Sougo 2.0 with his whole "Tyrant king" schtick, but suprisingly, when his ideas of "evil" was more of about rebeling against the corrupt monarchy under Racules, and later the Universe at large with Dugded I vibed with alot of his Me against the Universe sort of outlook on life. Yanma, he was just an absolute chad, he had this aura of coolness to him. HInmeo, I was also worried that she was going to be just a very one note spoiled princess archtype, but she ended up being very endiering, and her story of her parents being killed during the Fury of the Gods was genuinely tragic. Kaguragi, I just loved his very bombastic personalty, and his whole being willing to get his hands dirty for the sake of his kingdom was just great. Rita, They were just great. the duality of them being both this overly stoic Judge, and just an absolute mood is just phenominal. Jeramie, he was pretty alright, his whole schtick of being the narrator was amusing, and the whole story regarding his mother was very tragic. Racules, he was a great antagonist, Masato Yuno did a phenominal part of beign this very love to hate sort of character. Even his redemption arc suprisingly did a great job at recontextualizing his actions, and also, it's still a better redemtion arc than Stacy's. As for the side characters, they were all just great, they did a great job at making the world feel alive. Hell Goroge(Bowler hat guy) for as annoying as he is does perfectly play the part of that fanatical supporter of Racules. The only ones I Honestly didn't care for were Douga and Boshimar(Racules' Footmen) Because they honestly, just only exist to be glorified yes men to Racules.(Maybe the got fleshed out in the Secret of King Racules miniseries, but I haven't watch those.) The only noteworthy things about them was the revelation that "Boshimar" was Kamejim in disguise. For the villains. Admittibly, Emperor Dethnarok to me felt like your standard box-standard "Wants to rule the world like all the other sickos" type of Sentai villain.(Granted he wasn't as much of non entity like Tau Zant, Genis, or Boccouwaus.) But he had the same problem as Dr Hinilar where you only get to learn about his story and motivation during the end of his Tenure. Kamejim, he did his job as the sort of manipulative Starscream type villain. Although when he joined up the Galactinsects he kind of faded into the background. As for the Galactinsects; Dugded was an weird villain. Again, the fact that he's essentially a bored child with godlike powers causing rampant destruction across the universe for his own amusement was what made him seem like such a force to be reckoned with. The revelation that he "created" Gira via magically impregnating the former Queen; apart from giving me Abaranger Flashbacks, I did not see coming As for the Galactinsect generals. With the exception of Grodie, they all sort of felt like your standard sentai villain archtypes. Overall, King-Ohger was genuinely a breath of fresh air for sentai! An almost perfect series. It what made 2023(The 2nd lowest point in my life/Quarter-life crisis) Worth it. Even the Kyoryuger crossover was solid. Let's just hope that BoonBoomger keeps up that hype.

The point of contention about donbrothers is basically a good character drama/comedy but is not a good superhero asamble cast show ( they are weirdos that became heroes but aren't particularly good at it) it was in a sence a deconstruction of traditional sentai if everything except taro's protagonism. King ohger in other hand is very much like a story about a superhero asamble cast. Gira was a protagonist but the team he operate on is well, scary, the kings gave no shits about his bit and generally where the ones that know what to do. Some people hold it agaist him but honestly this is the best use to this type of character. If donbros is the anti-sentai king ohger is a real progresion based on the sentai formula. Also i think this also why the hopes are fairly high to boonbonger, because everything its market show up it's less "hey we gona go back to the vanilla stick" and more "hey this time we are going to a real old school classic feel from your grandpa sentai, before the advent of the twerp."

This is what Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog looked like, with a bigger budget, a darker story, their own actual world, cultural elements of Anglo/Old English, Victorian, Russo/Siberian, Feudal, and Pop/Geek; and a better endgame than both Countdown to Destruction and Legendary Battle combined.

This is basically Zyuranger done right, character-wise. We get to see each of the King Ohger’s kingdoms, their personal lives, the way their system works, their motivations for each kingdom, everything about it was handled correctly and it was more serialized than your typical 2010s Sentai season. And Gira wasn’t even that bad of a character, yes he may act a little arrogant and loud, but he wasn’t to the point of overly stupid, childish and braindead like Takaharu and Lucky. Rita was definitely the fan favorite of the season. Whenever they scream, it was naturally funny and never gotten to the point of infuriating annoying like Yossha Lucky or Takaharu’s Moekita.

This show doesn't have similarities to Zyuranger.

I finished this show a couple days ago and I loved it but it is probably gonna make it hard for me to go back to more formulaic Sentai shows because of how different it is. For example, 10 minutes ago I was watching Zyuohger and honestly got a bit bored because King Ohger is just that different. BoonBoomger’s gonna have some big shoes to fill!

I agree with that very last point you made. I thought it was great, but i couldn't feel fully emotionally invested in it either. I would place it in my top 10 just because of how good it was, but i have not watched even half of the sentai seasons and i feel like i would immediately drop it to top 20 if i found 2 or 3 more seasons that i just personally liked more.

King-Ohger was a awesome show.

I would be genuinely interested in seeing this series adapted into Power Rangers if they were still show adaptations. It just has such a unique premise

it's impossible since the the show used the Loom that forces PR to use the same backgrounds otherwise it's a hard to explain why we have 6 to 7 people on earth when the fight scenes are based in various different countries

This abd Lupin Vs Pat are by favorite Sentai s. I wouldnt mind those seasons being adapted notebfor note with very little changes and they would be auper popular over here in the west

I knew right away that this season was going to be special and I was right. It cracked my top 5.....the others being; Hurricanger, Abaranger, GekiRanger, and still my #1 Gokaiger. It knocked DaiRanger out.

For me neat insect motif, my favorite suit is still Papillon Ohger, my favorite ranger Jeramie since he was a unique 6th ranger/ narrator for the series, I hope future sentai do not have the main mecha made with 10 zords at the very beginning i like with Boukenger they built up to a 10 mecha formation, also like Boukenger let the extra zords form their own mecha instead of just being weapons, like with Kyuranger Sasori Voyager could be used as either an arm or leg yet with God Scorpion it is just armament, could have done without the time skip changing things up thought that was a funny episode to watch. I loved the unique countries for each

King-Ohger = Power Rangers For The Rich

I going to say zyuranger was probably an better royal theme show with kings and dinosaur because it have been a long time since we got a full royal theme show which king-ohger was good because back when king-ohger would get revealed i thought it was gonna be another dinosaur theme because we would get another knights and dinosaur again since it would been good but untill when king-ohger got fully revealed it would be first ever insects theme

No way the series got the same rating as gokaiger on imdb. The the comments are the cast never go outside except a few occasions. The cast literally treat the green screen and cgi as theatre giving the nature of the show about kings. It’s so weird only the kings have power, but the civilian and “army” doesn’t involve until the end. You can see Japanese audience and Japanese KZreadr talked about it copying a certain anime. Meanwhile, American audience scream it’s avenger end game. Sentai can take a risk in trying out what ultraman did for a long time with green screen background to save money since sentai toys sales continue to drop off so much beneath the other toku. Even the producer said sentai isn’t popular with young audience anymore even the cast performing in live show theatre are lackluster.

Also, the Kyoryuger stuff kind of sucked. It just clashed with the tone King Ohger had set for itself.

It was the first Sentai season that I followed on a weekly basis, it was a good season with its goods and bads and honestly I enjoyed it. Positives: •As a political satire, it's a pretty solid season. Management styles, people's point of view, etc. are well handled. •Very serialized and fast paced in overall. •The characters are generally unusual and likable. •This season's overall message of unity is very strong. It is a very nice detail to mention international disagreements and political conflicts. •Ran and Jeremy are outstanding and memorable characters in overall. •İts first half has one of the best plot ever. İts story is really satisfying in start to end. •There is a significant improvement in the use of special effects. •Comedic scenes are reflected characters' personalities in overall and I loved those. •Final arc is solid. Negatives: •Second half is completely ruin that season to me. They were could use that plot to their movie instead. •Yanma and Kaguragi got focus episodes way too late and both were slightly underdeveloped. •Kyoryuger arc is kinda unnecessary. •Racules arc on second half is really rushed. •Mecha and its fights is not memorable at all. Also we barely seen those on the second half. •Their toy sales strategy is terrible, introducing and selling everything in the first half was the most critical sales mistake of the season. There was nothing left to promote for the second half. •The uniform was definitely one of the worst Sentai costumes. Also the most overly detailed one. It resembles Kamen Rider costumes too much and is eye-tiring. So much so that I injured my hand while drawing these and ended up in the hospital, I'm serious.

@@leonardofarias8843 I meant design is overly detailed, especially when I draw their skeches I had to pay attention to details, that requires lots of looking for the details. Even my wrist was hurt when I drawing them and hospitalised.

If you need it a little bit more of rackles. They release 8 episodes for rackles. Called, the secret of rackles. Also what are you talking about, the costumes are one of the best, that you have issues drawing them doesn't make them bad automatically that's more a you problem, rather than the costumes. Also the mecha figths were memorable( not all of them). I just wish we had more mecha figths. Also I was happy they released the entire line early, because is annoying having to wait a year for us to be able to form the final combination.

Don Brothers is infinitely better than this mess. Geats I warmed up to over time, but this series, no.

I wonder why. Oh, probably cause they went cheap and shot the whole series in front of a fucking green screen. They Aldo barley made any monster suits and cut screen time of suit actors. At least Don Brothers filmed in actual locations. Oh, and told a better fucking story.
