Hey Tony, thanks for your comment and glad that you are enjoying this novice attempt of mine to put out my motoring journey and real world experience on youtube 🙂👍. Onroad price for the hypermotard SP in Pune was 21 lacs. The RVE should be approximately in the 17-18 lacs range and the standard would be approximately 15-16 lacs range. The mileage I get on the highways is between 19 to 23 kmpl (depending on how I ride) and in the city it ranges between 16-20 kmpl. While it does not have a fuel gauge…it does have a fuel reserve warning sign which pops up and thats when you know you should head to the fuel station.

@@bigwheelsmotoring3642 21Lakhs! Oh my god! I literally thought it was somewhere around 14lakhs! I guess my dreams are going to be just dreams and time to change my wallpaper on my laptop 😢 Anyhow... Keep them videos coming atleast 3 videos in a week for the algorithm to work... Why am I telling you this? Cos I've never seen an Indian guy with an hyper on KZread! Kudos to you! Have fun and be safe!

hi. thanks for the feedback on ohlins. i just completed around 800km on hyperstrada and it feels great for in city stuff and weekend highway stuff - especially the touring seat and center stand. however the ground clearance is low and it touches the tall speed bumps if i am not careful. Is this a problem u face on the 950? Also am exploring if i need the tank grips - saw it online and am not sure of utility . any thoughts? have put on some new rosso III tyres and grip has dramatically increased from the worn out scorpion trail. How often do you do the chain lubing? do u do it at home or at dealer? also simple washing frequency?

Hey Karthik - Congrats on your Hyperstrada and wish you many more safe and fun miles ahead. The 950 does not have a ground clearance issue because its raked a bit taller compared to its predecessor’s and other variants.. Tank grips - Would be useful only if you plan to do track with it…for regular riding I dont see a reason to have a tank grip…especially because the sitting position is pretty upright and one would seldom go into extreme lean angles on regular roads…so no use as such. The rosso 3 are a fab set of tyres, infact I got a set just last week, the only issue being…its soft compound rubber and hence it wears out much faster. I lube the chain pretty regularly..after any big long ride, or a wash etc. sometimes I do it myself at home and at times at the dealer.

@@bigwheelsmotoring3642 Thank you ....wanted to understand as to whether you have done clutch wheelies or power wheelies with your Hyper....also I wanted to know the DTC and ABS settings for the same.....was thinking of doing a few of these and have fun in a large parking lot or empty asphalt area.....any other tips for doing wheelies and/or youtube videos you advice to look at ....especially for electronic settings etc for hyper.

@@karthikkumar2515 The electronics will restrict popping wheelies. You can tune down the DTC and Wheelie control completely…and then it will allow you to pop wheelies. I have done power wheelies (unknowingly) at corner exits and during quick acceleration while in sport mode. I haven’t done any clutch wheelies on the hyper yet. My suggestion on wheelies is…just be careful with clutch wheelies…as a thumb rule keep you foot on the rear brake to tap it if you feel that the wheelie is going out of control..the moment you tap the rear brake, the front wheel will want to come back down. Also, keep a very steady light hand on the throttle and dont whack open the throttle to full…control the throttle smoothly…and try and find a sweet spot on the throttle to keep that front wheel up. But remember…these wheelies should be tried on lighter bikes to get a hang of the skill…and only when you are confident…move onto the bigger bikes. Wheelies tend to put a lot of unnecessary stress on the clutch, engine and the front suspension.

The regular service costs should range between 8k to 13k approximately. The desmo service will be much higher as they look at valve clearances etc…and should sit approximately between 25k to 35k. But the Desmo service on all new Ducati’s is scheduled at 30000 kms…which should on an average take about 2 to 3 years…depending on how much one uses the motorcycle.
