The Original LADY MARMALADE. So glad you are doing more of Miss Patti, another of our living legacies. We need to give Miss Patti her flowers now.❤❤❤❤❤❤
LADY MARMALADE is an iconic hit from La Belle, Patti's group before she went solo. They released their first album in 1966. At least one of their outfits are in the African American history museum in DC. Their style influenced Madonna and Lady Gaga. Patti Labelle has a loooong career.

That was still my favorite song of he's!
It's the 80s, mums cooking breakfast, radio is on and Patti is blasting her new attitude!!! That's when I fell in love with music, Patti was the beginning of my music life and I'm so lucky to have seen her live! Thank you for this, it melted my heart
Seeing Ms. LaBelle perform in person is a whole experience.
Patti has always had sass, but this video captured it perfectly. ❤
Love Ms. Patti. She and Chaka Khan had 2 if the most powerful voices I'd ever heard - then Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston burst on the scene. But these veteran R&B icons were still serving up pop songs in the 80s and showing the younger ladies how it's done! Another pop dance tune by Ms Patti is Stir It Up from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack (and my personal fave by her). I think you guys will love it.

One of the greatest voices EVER!!!!! Second to none!
You have to react to her group titled Labelle. They started out in the 60s as Patti Labelle and The Bluebells before becoming Labelle. Their biggest hit was Lade Marmalade but another great song by them was towards the end of the group called Isn't It A Shame. Another Patti single to check out is from a James Bond movie, the closing song, If You Asked Me To and a song Yo Mister, written and produced by Prince.

What a voice! POWERHOUSE or what!? ❤🎼💃
LIVING LEGEND, Ms. Patti 'BADASS ' Labelle, in her prime (in my opinion, all the way into her mid 60's) was an UNTOUCHABLE VOCAL BEAST. You will NEVER find ANY singer, male/female, in any wra, who comes close to Patti Labelle. She not only hears the music, she FEELS the music. TRULY ONE OF A KIND!!

Patti is a legend. She was recently performing and threw up on stage, looked very sick...gets escorted out for about 5-10 minutes and next thing you know she's back out there joking and dancing like nothing ever happened. Mind you, she's almost 80 years old....truly an unstoppable force.

"Winner in you" is a beautiful song. And the Sound track from the movie "Waiting to exhale" so many great songs on that album. Also, Jennifer Holiday and Miki Howard are great finds.
If you really want to check out Patti's attitude you should check out some of her live performances! She invites the audience into her world by kicking off her shoes & stunning them with her crazy vocals. Patti is so likeable & funny. Check out her version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" live. (Since you just watch the Wizard of Oz). Patti's version is a classic!
You guys need to check out the Patti Labelle of the 1970s with the sound of her group Labelle. Let’s start with “Lady Marmalade”, “What Can I Do For You” or “Isn’t It A Shame”. Just to mention a few. They had so much going on back then. Labelle was a powerhouse with all three members shining.
She has such a unique, clear, strong voice with amazing range. Always great to hear her.

Had the great pleasure of seeing her in concert in the 1980s. She literally kicked off her shoes and rolled across the floor still singing. And the first thing that she did in the show was brought up all the drag queens in the audience who are dressed up as her on stage to acknowledge them. Freaking fantastic! ❤️

That song makes me cry everytime
I worked with Patti Labelle in the Eighties for an ABC special with Placido Domingo. She was truly amazing. The best part was that she was a bad lip syncher, so in an era when most stars were lip synching their performances for music videos, Patti Labelle had to sing her part every single time. I cannot describe the power of hearing her voice live, but I will never forget it.
A real Women's Anthem! It just pumps you up, makes you want to dance around and step over all the negativity on your way to meet and own yourself. Love who you are, strive for your goals, ignore the naysayers, and move forward with a sassy stride. Seriously, I dare anyone *not* to move when they here this song.
Omg, this is just SOOOO joyful!!! 🤩 And I'm with everyone suggesting Lady Marmalade
Patti deserves a lot more recognition than she already gets. Her voice reminds me of Aretha Franklin, not as legendary as Aretha's voice, she was unique but Patti has that vibe about her.
Next reaction from Patti should me "Stir It Up". Still in the 80's in a similar style to this one 1985 from Beverley Hills Cop movie
This was such a FUN reaction! Patti Labelle has a phenomenal voice❤
This tune is always good for a pick me up! Her voice is Extraordinary! She has songs that I don't even like, but her voice is always so dynamic!!!
Patti had a Resurgence and this song was part of it!
A combination that I thought was unusual was Patti LaBelle and Cyndi Lauper singing Time After Time. So beautiful
I could listen to Miss Patti all day! ❤
🧡 And that is why we looooove Patti! 🔥
Fun Fact: in the group LaBelle, Patty and her sisters were the first singers to perform "Marmalade" back in the 70's.
I love Pattie's motivational song New Attitude make a person want to get up get something done plus, high energy great song to dance to. Love it thanks Rob Squad Reaction

This was definitely an Anthem for women back in the 80’s!? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
She followed in the footsteps of the great Aretha Franklin and we love her for it. Ms. Patti rocked the house with this song.
_Lady Marmalade_ by Labelle shows you how powerful Patti Labelle's pipes really are. Fantastic performance. If/when you do it, react to the *live* performance video, not the audio only version.
Patti can wear you out just by going into her upper register. If you want to hear her go in the opposite direction check out "Kiss Away The Pain" or "If Only You Knew"

Patti had it going on!
What a cracking track! How good is her vocal. Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack keeps on giving!
In 1974 Labelle featuring Patti Labelle, Nona Hendrix, and Sarah Dash tore up the charts with "Lady Marmalade", it was a smash hit that propelled Labelle to the top of the charts and was so significant it was selected by the Library Of Congress for preservation. You've got to react to the the official video, Labelle was known for their outstanding singing, and outrageous costumes, this is where the "new attitude" came from.
A good amount of earlier musicians had a renaissance in the 80"s. Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Patti LaBelle, and more
This song made dance floors fill up on the 80's.
great voice , love her doing LADY MARMALADE ,she certainly has the pipes.

Patty was the bomb back in the day and actually SHE STILL IS!
You need to hear her do Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Amazing version of this Judy Garland classic
One of the happiest songs of the 80's!!👌
It was songs like this that gave my parents the "in" to introduce me to earlier music. Can't thank them enough. Like what y'all are doing now - going back through time and artistry.
Love, Love Miss Patti LaBelle ❤❤❤❤
Must MUST watch Patti and Cyndi Lauper's duet of Lady Marmalade...Patti Labelle is Godmother to Cyndi Lauper's son...
There's a live performance that she did with The Who, performing as the Acid Queen from The Who's rock opera Tommy. You can find the video here on KZread. The Acid Queen was originally played by Tina Turner in the early 70's movie version. In 1989 The Who did a live stage version, and had Patti play the role. She will blow you away with the intensity of her performance. She is truly a Queen in her own right!
Patti LaBelle went OFF in this song. Definitely my favorite up-tempo song of hers, though "Stir It Up" is really good, too.
I'm glad you guys got to see it in reverse. You just discovered that your sweet old auntie used to be a bad ass popstar. For most of us, we got to see the bad ass popstars, or rock 'n' roll bad boys eventually stop recording and start making car commercials, or life insurance commercials, or Depends commercials.
We loved us some Ms Patti in the 80s!
So 80’s…I love it! 👏👏👏
The power and energy her voice exudes has ALWAYS been amazing!! Ms Patti NEVER fails to deliver❤
Don't forget Prince wrote some jams for her too. Yo Mister.
My hobby throughout the late 80s and 90s was going to concerts. I have seen her the most. I’ve seen her at jazz fest the Saenger theater and at the time UNO Lakefront Arena she is awesome her show at the Saenger theater. She comes dressed out in the fuchsia formal dress, with stiletto heels looking fly like a diva to kick off her shoes later, and eat a hot fudge sundae while she talk to the audience, while it was sitting on a grand piano, and she was getting ready to sing
Wait till they hear "Stir it Up" by Patty. They might get up and dance. 😁😄💃❤️
