This right here is grown folks music. What they call music today ain't even close!
Lenny Williams is 79 yrs old. I saw him in Charlotte NC on March 2nd. He still sounds like he did in the mid 70's. BTW ask your parents. TV did sign off before cable was in every home. After he left the Tower of Power, this was when we heard his true vocal range.

There is a video of 3 little British boys in the back seat of a car. And this song is playing on the radio. And they are singing along with the song like they are 40 years old and had 12 heart breaks.

Love Lenny!
Everyone in my family, from the youngest to the oldest, knows this song. Play this at the cookout and everyone's singing! 😂
One of the greatest songs ever sang.
Classic!!!
Nugget of knowledge for the day, he was actually crying during the recording of the song.
Never heard this in my life. A M A Z I N G. It brought tears to my eyes, it was so beautiful Thank you for making me aware of this. WOW
They call this song greatest love song ever. If you ever mess up this is the song to play to your woman. If this doesn't work then nothing will... 🙂
Ohhh, yes, oldie and a goodie ❤❤❤❤ brings back the good old days ... Feel it people in your Soul...
Now ya know😳😅 # 1 love makin', baby makin', begging, hollerin' song from our day. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 You'd also love Luther Vandross "A House Is Not a Home." 👍
No, you didn't!😮 You FINALLY got to Lenny?! Oh,my goodness! This is what I've been telling you about...the man puts his entire soul into this song, and I knew that at age seven, when it was released. This one would shut everyone up in the house and we'd all just listen, even the kids. The elders would just shake their heads and get deep into it. I'll also continue to suggest these for some more deep, meaningful soul - "No Rhyme, No Reason" by George Duke "Can I?" by David Peaston "God Bless the Child" by David Peaston (he's one of many who've made their own version of it) Jordan I wondered if you would catch that Twista sampled this his rap song, "Overnight Celebrity". You said you no longer listen to rap, but you might remember it.
That's grown folks music.
Just to let you know I'm just a white guy play love your reactions I've been a fan for like 5 or 6 years now I love all your reactions trying to listen to all kinds of music that's really good that's what you should do music is the Healer of the world keep doing a great job guys
Some people would argue this is the best R&B song from the 70's, Although I would say Harold Melvin and the blue notes: I miss you.
One of my all-time favorite songs. You don't just hear this song, Lenny's voice and the lyrics make you feel it. I saw Lenny a few years ago in El Paso, TX, and he can still put you in a trance and sing like this. Another one of his "newer" songs is "Sorry, I didn't know it was yo mamma". The song has some funk to it. Give it a listen if you want to hear some more Lenny.
The Greatest Love Song of All Time.
Oh, so many steamy windows back then!✌️❤️
This Is My Favorite R&B Songs Because I'm Remember Listen to this song On Tyler Perry Madea Plays and Movies.

I've waited a long time for a reaction to this one!
This song and he is incredible.

70's suggestion - "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" by The Temptations.
Saw him sing this in concert when he opened for Earth, Wind & Fire in the late 70s.
Still waiting for the first reaction to Toni Braxton. Three years and counting.
Oh my goodness I was just listening to this via KZread earlier today must be ESP great song
Seeing this pop up was an absolute treat and I couldn't wait to watch you both discover this song. I knew that as pure music lovers this song would blow y'all away, and your reactions were priceless and so honest. You can't just listen to this song, you feel it. Watching you Amber, all I can say is...girl SAME!! LOL
Twista 's. Overnight Celebrity is the song I believe you are talking about. I was really surprised on how they flipped it and sped it up, but Lenny's version will always be timeless.
Oh my god, this is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my life
I saw him at a club in SC when this song came out. He came down the isle singing it. I will never forget that, I could've reach out and tough him. Thanks guys, great reaction

Oh yessss I was obsessed with that beautiful/sad song.
Lenny, Lenny, Lenny. Put him and Prince on a stage live together. I would pay anything to see that. Haven't heard his sweetness in decades. Just sitting here swaying like Amber. I love his story teller songs. That time when male R&B singers told us a story, and I would fall asleep to these artists listening to WJLB out of Detroit so many years ago. These were my adult lullaby 's. Gorgeous. Big smile. Canadian Grandma Lori. C
Baby Maker Song of the 1970s! The man still lives AND still has the CHOPS! Dive Deeper my young brother and sister. One Love. PEACE U
And the fact that Lenny Williams, as great as he is, isn't a household name should tell you about the quality of soul singers you had in the 70s. Thanks for bringing this back...
Epic slow jam/Quiet storm type song. And Amber that Fried Bolongna sandwich go stupid!
I have been waiting for awhile for you guys to do this man. This is the ultimate cry for love. Lenny Williams is a one of a kind talent and this gem of a song , hands down one of the all time ballads regardless of genre ever created. It’s has layers to it like the best cake ever.
