OH LORD! George Carlin "Capital Punishment" REACTION

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

OH LORD! George Carlin "Capital Punishment" REACTION is a wild ride through one of comedy's most controversial topics. 😱🎭 In this video, we're diving deep into George Carlin's infamous bit on capital punishment. Buckle up, folks, because this is going to be one heck of a journey! 🎢🌪️
From the moment Carlin starts his routine, you can feel the tension in the air. 😰💨 His razor-sharp wit cuts through societal norms like a hot knife through butter. The audience's nervous laughter is a testament to Carlin's ability to make people uncomfortable while keeping them engaged. 😂😬
As we react to Carlin's performance, it's impossible not to be in awe of his comedic genius. 🧠💡 His timing, delivery, and word choice are all impeccable. Every sentence is crafted to maximum effect, leaving no room for wasted words or missed opportunities. 🎯👌
The way Carlin tackles such a heavy topic with humor is truly remarkable. 🏋️‍♂️😆 He manages to shine a light on the absurdity of the death penalty while never losing sight of the gravity of the subject. It's a delicate balance that only a master comedian could achieve. ⚖️🤹‍♂️
Throughout the bit, Carlin's facial expressions and body language add another layer to his performance. 🤨🤔 His raised eyebrows, dramatic pauses, and emphatic gestures all work in perfect harmony with his words. It's like watching a one-man theatrical production. 🎭👨‍🎤
The audience's reactions are almost as entertaining as Carlin's routine itself. 😲👥 You can see people shifting in their seats, exchanging glances, and struggling to decide whether to laugh or gasp. It's a perfect example of Carlin's ability to challenge his audience. 🧠🔥
As we delve deeper into the routine, Carlin's mastery of language becomes increasingly apparent. 📚🔠 His wordplay and clever turns of phrase are nothing short of brilliant. Each punchline is like a linguistic puzzle, expertly solved before our very eyes. 🧩💯
The way Carlin builds his argument throughout the bit is fascinating to watch. 🏗️🔍 He starts with seemingly innocent observations and gradually escalates to shocking conclusions. It's like being on a roller coaster of logic and absurdity. 🎢🤯
One of the most impressive aspects of Carlin's performance is his fearlessness. 🦁🎤 He tackles taboo subjects head-on, never shying away from controversy. His courage in addressing such sensitive topics is truly admirable. 👏🏅
As we react to the routine, it's impossible not to reflect on how Carlin's comedy has aged. 🕰️💭 Despite being performed years ago, many of his points still feel relevant and thought-provoking today. It's a testament to the timelessness of great comedy. 🗓️🌟
The structure of Carlin's routine is a masterclass in comedy writing. 📝🎓 Each joke builds upon the last, creating a cohesive and increasingly hilarious narrative. It's like watching a master craftsman at work. 🔨🎭
Throughout the video, we can't help but marvel at Carlin's stage presence. 🌟👨‍🎤 Even through the screen, his charisma and confidence are palpable. He commands the stage with the ease of a seasoned performer. 🎭👑
As we reach the climax of the routine, Carlin's arguments become increasingly outrageous. 📈🤪 Yet, there's a method to his madness. Each absurd suggestion serves to highlight the inherent flaws in the system he's critiquing. 🧠🔍
The way Carlin uses repetition and callbacks throughout his routine is truly clever. 🔁🔙 He plants seeds early on that bloom into full-fledged jokes later. It's a technique that rewards attentive listeners and adds depth to his performance. 🌱🌺
As we react to the video, we can't help but discuss the impact Carlin has had on comedy as a whole. 🌍🎭 His influence can be seen in countless comedians who followed in his footsteps. Carlin truly was a pioneer in the world of stand-up. 🚀🏆
The energy Carlin brings to his performance is infectious. ⚡😆 Even when discussing such a somber topic, he manages to keep the audience engaged and entertained. It's a delicate balance that few comedians can achieve. 🤹‍♂️⚖️
The way Carlin uses his voice throughout the routine is remarkable. 🗣️🎙️ He shifts from a whisper to a shout, from deadpan to manic, always in service of the joke. His vocal control is just another tool in his vast comedic arsenal. 🧰🔊
As we wrap up our reaction, we can't help but feel a mix of emotions. 😂😢 Carlin's routine has made us laugh, think, and even feel uncomfortable at times. It's a rollercoaster of a performance that leaves a lasting impact. 🎢💥
Throughout the video, we discuss how Carlin's comedy often served as a form of social commentary. 🗽📢 His ability to make people laugh while also making them think is truly remarkable. It's comedy with a purpose, designed to challenge and provoke. 🧠🔥
The technical aspects of Carlin's performance are worth noting. 🎥🎬 His use of the stage, his microphone technique, and his overall presentation are all top-notch. It's clear that every aspect of his act has been meticulously crafted. 🛠️👨‍🎨

I was also going to bring that up. I would like to clarify though, there is a difference between being 'religious' and being 'spiritual'. Actual Christians who actually love Jesus and the way he wanted people to be loving as they live would NEVER condone the Inquisition or any of the other violence perpetrated by any sect of so-called Christianity. We know that certain people currently in power who claim to be Christians are not in fact Christians, simply by their actions. Republicans who are notorious as hate-filled racists are NOT Christians. Actual Christians are EMBARRASSED to be lumped in with the likes of Westboro Baptist Church. People like them have lost sight of the greatest thing ever, which is LOVE. If a person spreads hate, the LAST thing they should ever be seen as would be Christian.

I think the point of the digs on Christianity is that Christians claim to be loving and forgiving and follow the teachings of Jesus but are frequently vicious, judgmental, and violent. Not just now, but for millennia. The entire history of Christianity is filled with things like this.

Except old school Christians, the OG ones that were pissing off Rome. When Rome is a military state and she's got a bunch of people like "well we won't be any use to you on the battlefield, we won't kill. Also God first, not the State." Though once they got in the driver seat it seems that's when they started persecuting people. Ce le vie.

I enjoy your approach to reaction videos! For me, Carlin was highlighting thematic patterns of biblical retribution and revenge. By shifting focus to Bible verses for your counterargument, you introduce a strawman that Carlin wasn't addressing. Sometimes, in our haste, we err by putting the cart (what we presume was meant) before the horse (what was actually said).

The reason both parties aren't that great is because we don't even have a left wing party, but two right wing parties. One of them is not as far to the right as the other. Today's Democrats( excluding the likes of AOC and Bernie Sanders) are basically the 1980s Republicans time travelled to today, while the conservatives that actually wear the conservative label are much MUCH worse. Liberals will try to pass legislation that makes life slightly easier for the public while doing even less to hold accountability to the rich. While the conservatives are about four things, making abortion illegal, tax cuts for the wealthy, yelling at democrats for republican screw ups, and any laws to screw over minorities that also happen to screw over the rest of the country as well, they just don't see it. Love your doggie, btw. Got a couple myself, one medium and one BIG boy.

I like your take on not taking responsibility for condemning someone to death if you are not willing to actually carry forward with the act. Game of Thrones code of honor: The person who passes the sentence should swing the sword. Just so I am clear I am just saying your code is the same as Ned Starks I am not saying which way I believe because it will likely offend someone. Well I had to come back I just finished the video and I never ever go after reactors or anyone actually. I try to live by if you don't have something good to say just don't say it. I am being 100 % honest when I say I think you can be a really good reactor and I am not trying to hate on you. I am also not making a statement about your beliefs I respect the fact that everyone can believe how they want. I have to point out something here just for your own good in future reactions. It was really hard to get through this video because at one point you were searching the Bible and totally admitted you do not know it from cover to cover but then turned around and with total confidence and said that George didn't bother to do his research that he was wrong and that it was actually a Jewish lesson. I was in shock How can you say he needs to know what he is talking about when you don't either? George was raised Catholic...and I mean schools and all that. I have heard him rattle off scripture like it was nothing he does know what he is talking about. Also how can you speak on Jewish beliefs when you have not yet learned your own? It just really don't look good at all. I hope you take this and try in the future to be very careful about letting your belief use your mouth before you think. I am sorry to be one of those but man that was very cringey.

The Bible is full of contradictions and is often interpreted in a way that promotes the interpretations point of view. Around year 1100 there was a big church meeting in Constantinople, now Istanbul, where they edited the Bible to their likes. If you take the simple quote “If someone slaps you right cheek turn your left cheek to them”. Many will interpret it as you should just let it pass. However if you are going to slap somebody’s right cheek you will have to use your left hand or the back of your right. In the days that this was written it was a way to slap children, slaves or women. So what the quote really says is that you should hit them with your right hand so that we meet as equal men.

Nope. People who CLAIM to be Christians have blood on their hands and they give Christianity a bad name. ACTUAL Christians, people who believe as Jesus said to live, don't do the big violent stuff. Even Jesus himself got angry and beat people who defiled his Father's house. He did not kill anybody, he let them go with a lesson well-learned. It is okay to stand up for yourself in an otherwise impossible situation. But you are supposed to open with a loving response. Violence should not be used until after all other avenues to resolve a situation have been explored.

Yeah said herself I know enough to make it work for me. That is the norm with religion always has been (not picking on Christianty I mean all religions.) Actually I am going to ask you a question...I was thinking about all this stuff a few days ago and I thought that one of the major problems with religion is how it is presented as a fact and even worse we teach it as a fact to children making it in some cases nearly impossible as an adult to make your own decision. I then thought Christians in particular want to do everything they can to dismiss the Big Bang Theory. The problem I have with that is that it is presented as a THEORY. It is plainly said upfront in the title that this is not fact because we don't know. So why don't we do that with religion? It really should be Christian Theory, Muslim Theory or Satanic Theory. I don't know it seems like the human race should have figured this crap out a long time ago. Just curious what someone might think about my idea. I live in the backwoods alone and can't run this by anyone and of course it is just a fun question I am not being overly serious. You were right on your original post though 100%

7:36 There is a difference, but let's not forget that Jesus (or, more properly, Yeshua, as Jesus is a transliteration from Greek) was also a Jew who observed all the Jewish laws and customs, and all the early Christians were Jews. The gospel generally supersedes the 613 mitzvot (all the various Jewish laws laid out in the books of Moses), as Jesus fulfilled all the laws so we could be free of them. But to truly understand Jesus, the foundations of Christianity, Israel and the Jews, and the end times, we must not ignore the Old Testament and the Jewish faith it outlines.

He said I bring not peace but a sword. And if you do not hate your family you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Personally my favorite parts of the bible are when Jesus is talking to god (himself) alone and someone is recording it 😂

No, in reality it is a Christian lesson. We are talking about the distinction between what Jesus proposed and the actuality of what the heads of the major Christian religions have churned out. If you had watched the previous bit which is sometimes entitled "The Sanctity of Life", you will see how he distinguishes between the teachings of Christ and man's self-absorbed interpretations. Religious wars have caused the brutal deaths of millions upon millions and they've used Christ's name as an excuse for this brutality. You say that the new testament does not have retribution yet modern Christians often cite Leviticus to excuse the dehumanization of marginalized people. There are flaws everywhere and hypocrisy is rampant within all religions. Because religion grants power to people and people are filled with greed so it is therefore always corrupted. You cannot remove the Old Testament from Christianity. A woman who dies giving birth to a boy can never achieve the Kingdom of heaven. Don't forget that Christ himself promoted that his disciples abandon their families in order to follow him. Christ's followers were a group of deadbeat Dads. Tell me I'm wrong! I'll admit much of what is wrong with modern Christian religion should not be attributed to Christ himself. Jesus had nothing against priests marrying. That didn't come about until around the 12th century when the Catholic Church realized that when priests died they left their wealth and property to their wives. This was unacceptable to the skeevy leaders in The Vatican. As George said, "Religion takes in billions of dollars and they pay no taxes." Why?

Nobody is “falling apart” over your views ma’am. We are more than capable of watching a little video, and engaging in conversation while we do things throughout the day. If you believe that people are “falling apart” over you then you need to check your ego and stop trying to shame people for presenting facts and opinions. If you have to imply that people are “falling apart” then maybe you are projecting a bit. Don’t like it? I suppose you can not make videos at all, not get political, or just continue to engage. You’re too beautiful and have too great of a personality to be ignorant, but hey….you know what they say? Why have brains when you have beauty? In case you were wondering, I threw that last sentence in there to show you what shaming is. I’ll bet you didn’t like it. So am I “falling apart”? Ask Leroy maybe he will know. YO LEROY….am I falling apart on this beautiful Sunday while I’m sunning at the pool deck of my brand new condo in Downtown Houston? Is my life in shambles now even though I no longer have to work for a living at 45, retired? I just don’t know how I’m going to make it through the day ya know? I’m sorry for being sarcastic but I find it odd that you say I’m “falling apart” because of a comment that I made on your video in the five minutes that it took me to sit on the toilet, drop a log, and wipe my butt. Get a grip. I’m going swimming now.🤟🏼

Well, I'm glad you aren't falling apart but many do. It's not an ego thing it's a reality thing. I get all kind of crazy comments. Fortunately, most people are cool.

You need to check out Revelations it is filled with Christian vengeance murder and destruction. People interpret the bible to meet their own needs. The Inquisition is a prime example. That's where the burning at the stake and boiling with oil come from.

Did you watch her entire video? She's NOT being defensive except against comments JUST LIKE YOURS from previous videos. If you were paying attention to her entire reaction, you would know that. Next time try watching the video all the way to the end.

How i like watching people misinterpreting the late George Carlin and forgetting it was a humour show. George Carlin could teach you. Few lessons about Christianity as he was raised as a Christian, i cant get over your disgusting comment "joke's on him cause his dead" on your reaction about his religion skit. It just proved how mean you can be. People who are smiling while being mean are the worst.

So how could there be "flaws" in the old testament when that was all just the "truth" written directly in the name of the almighty lord ? I can't understand how that alone makes people think that there must be something wrong with that whole stuff. Or do you admit that god has flaws and maybe Lucifer would be a better god than his evil father who condemned him to live in hell for 1000s of years ?

If Jesus is god and god created all the laws in the old testament and god is the same yesterday, today and forever, how Jesus (god) correct himself? Did he change his mind on his perfect laws? Does that mean all the laws from the old testament void? Like eating pork and wearing mixed fabrics and homosexuality and the 10 commandments? Or do those laws still apply? The one thing Carlin is best at is logic. I can't wait until you watch Carlin's takes on the Ten Commandments and Saving the planet and Swearing on the Bible.
