This has always been a favorite song of mine. I actually remember hearing it for the first time when I was just a child way back in the early 1980's, when I was living in Indonesia. A famous musician named Joan Baez graced my parent's music collection, where " Oh Happy Day" was heard often. Since receiving Jesus Christ as my Savior in 1991, this song has a whole lot of meaning to me than before. I'm overjoyed that Christ died for my sins, that He washed my sins away! Praise be to God!

You hide your tears, and show to us his love. You hide the pains, that comes in thy life's, for his name's sake. There is a hope for every tears, May your tears turned to joy; That will be given by our lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
