Hell Yeah, I have found where all the Vega's went. This is the kind of racing I want to see. Cars a regular guy can afford to build, not 200k full pro drag cars, they are cool but not like this. Great video. 👍👍🏁🏁

My uncle has a pretty nasty Vega I think he bought it in 97 when I was 7yo and bracket raced it until 2013 and sat until 2018 until he got back wantin to race small tire N/T and grudge racing like me he's helped me with my cars from the beginning it started as Back half big tire car but over the winter in 2018 we basically rebuilt the whole car now it's on small tires with a f1x 12 procharger on his old dart based 377 from back in the day with nice rotating assembly and bullet solid roller blower grind and the 20+yo Brodix aluminum heads CNC ported on alcohol and Holley EFI. It's a bad bitch it's been low 4.60's (1/8) so far it's not easy to drive either it definitely likes to party

That's cool, it's amazing how far drag racing has come. We ran a Vega back in the early to mid 80s, had a 468, Doug Nash 5 speed, ran at Rockingham, Bristol, Darlington. I grew up by the Rock and we always went to both drags and Nascar races. The Vega short wheel base makes it squirrelly at the big end. We ran the quarter mile 9s.at around 160 mph, that was fast back then. I'm building a 1975 firebird with a 1973 front clip and ram air hood and a 1972 455H.O, bored and stroked, also own a 1990 ZR-1. I'm 60 now, been a car guy forever and enjoy watching door slammer get down the track. Good luck to you guys, hope yall do well and be safe. 🤞🤞🏁🏁
