I miss OFNA, my first RC was an ONFA Nitro Buggy 1/8th RTR with 1 of these exact engines in it, the sound of this engine is making me seriously nostalgic

The carbs weren't any harder to tune than any other nitro engine, and they held a tune quite well.

I have two of these beasts. You get one you have to get to for back up. Keep an eye on the 6 little screws on the silver aluminum two speed. This thing vibrates like crazy and they shake out. Gears then strip its a pain to find new ones because it's old and somany had it happen. I had to buy second truck to fix it. Oooh and yes used purple weak and blue medium thread lock still would come lose after a few tanks. Didn't want to use red thread lock because threads are so shallow. Great video. In person when both engines are running its sounds like a pissed off bee hive.

That thing is bad ass !!! I had one back in the day lol I gave it away while moving oh I kick myself now . I just got an rc plane and a few old gas cars given to me . Sadly no one put after run oil in and all engines need love . The plane rolls over but carb is stuck . I need to watch more of your cleaning vids .

I wanted one of these so bad back in the day just to much money but still great memories of the RC world.

Love the truck. When I get my hands on old nitro I always break them in as if they are new. Because odds are they were barley even ran. So im my experience they are not broke in.

thanks bro! I recently returned this truck to it's owner, it will never die. It wasn't easy working on it, but you just can't kill it.

I wanted one of these so bad at the time. Couldn't afford it. Had an Ofna Pirate 10. A 1/10th scale truck with a 1/8th scale motor. A hyper .21. Insane! I had put a number of .18's into 1/10th scale trucks but, this was nuts. Stupid fast, too. Would break metal CVD's by spinning a doughnut. Finally fixed it and sold it. Couldn't keep it together for more than a tank. Lol.

I remember when those came out. Awesome truck. I couldn't get one either.

I remember that truck had many problems but the biggest for sure were clutch issues. Basically the engines had to be running exactly the same or else you'd burn up bearings and clutch shoes. Something about both engines connected to the spur gear together - there was no give and take. If one engine had more power it would burn up the clutch shoes and bearings in the opposite engine. That and the vibration was so violent that it would rattle the truck to pieces. It also had numerous drive train issues because of the power and the big heavy tires. We tried testing the truck when it was new and never were able to get it to run reliably. We actually sent it back to OFNA and asked them to fix the issues so we can test it again. They never did, so we only showed pictures of it and never did an actual review. It's a beast of a truck for sure and a good reminder of when RC companies weren't afraid to take chances. Best put that sucker on the shelf, but I commend you for giving it a try.

This twin engine is a bit overkill but I like it. Great for pissing off neighbors. I have a kyosho giga crusher 1 engine model in the original box and ceased. But you can't kill it. Great content. Trying to catch up with the vids 👍

hey dude! The giga Crusher is awesome, I've never had one of those on this channel, maybe one day. I gotta say the tuning of twin engines is pretty annoying, plus you wind up going through half a tank per engine, then one of them turns off and cools down, then you gotta restart agian! lol!! Well you know, thats part of what makes this the Most Sickening NITRO! ahaha.

The reason you have to keep lifting the lid on the right fuel tank is because a vacuum is forming in it caused by the engine drawing fuel from it but no air getting back in to it, this theory is backed up by the sound of the engine as you can hear it start to run lean and then runs normal when you let air back in the tank. Try and blow through the nozzles on the tank cap and exhaust, one of them is probably blocked.

Im gonna buy two Priuses and drive them together

hey bro! thanks man! Glad you liked this video, it's a very rare one of a kind nitro, probably neither one of us will ever see one like this in real life again. But I will be on the hunt of more. Today I returned it to it's owner.

In germany we had the exact same thing called jamara megalith twin.The single megalith had some major issues with the halfshafts when the chassis was bottoming out. Don't know if they got this fixed when the twin was introduced. Kyosho had a badass monster like this some years later, think it was named twinforce

The fact that this is "vintage" really makes me old. I remember thinking it was out of this world when I was first getting into rcs. Never got into nitro myself. Also, that body blows all of the current rtr designs out of the water in my opinion.

What’s up my fellow Nitro gang member. And I would say this design just hit 20 years for Nitro that probably classifies it as a vintage although many people like to think 80s style RC‘s are vintage but I think the 2000s qualify too.

I have single.28. Can the mach.28 replacement sleeve and piston fit this?. I ordered one set for my M26/427. When I took the sleeve off the .28 ofna the center intake port is split where as the me replacement mach .26 sleeve is not split. Awesome truck /Video. 👍

hello bro i have nh problem with my nitro .. have a force engine r.25 black ... bought new installed and set to basic settings to let it run in ... as soon as the engine is on for 30 seconds it starts to stutter and the engine stops.. do you have a tip how i can get rid of it or is it the fuel? the fuel line is too short... it is 3 cm long to the carburetor

hey buddy! In general almost all issues like you're describing comes down to incorrect carb needle setting. Try to richen the carb with both the Low Speed needle and the High Speed needle, the engine should have plenty of smoke and a normal low idle. In terms of your fuel line, it should be 5-7 inches long overall. Sounds like a tuning issue to me.

That’s easy to tune it just tune it one at the time. That ofna titan twin it came out in 2003

to be honest with you, this was recorded during a NITRO SHORTAGE, lol. This video took me 1 quart and I was out of fuel at this point. I have ordered more since. BTW I drove tis pretty hard during a live video a while ago, and hopefully will again tomm before returning it to it''s owner..

hey bro! how you doing! Im planning to do another very good running video with this truck tommorrow. Hopefully the 2-speed will engage, but this truck is running normally now, its taken a long Time to get to this point.

Don’t use water to clean the engine, put acetone in a spray bottle

Those Force. 26 engines kind of sucked stock, BUT, if you ported, polished, knife-edged the rod, lightened and turboed the crank, and put decent bearings in the engine, they WOKE up BIG time... 👌

Well I guess you deserve some Taco Bell now... 👍

hey bro!, yes that's totally possible, but trust me it's best to look inside and wash it out even if the motor spins freely. Usually if it's not bad then the sludge will just come out when it heats up anyway, but depends how bad it is.

in 1 year OS LC4 glow plug went from $8.99 to $13.49(Amain) $15.99(Amazon). sickening.

hey dude! what's up! I will admit, the tuning isn't simple. It's actually way more in depth than just tuning the needles, you need to also make sure the linage itself to each carb is identical. We are talking about tiny tiny adjustments here, and it still is a little bit off. More running soon!. Gotta run them separately for a consistent individual tune first, then just hope it works together, ahaa.

Hey buddy, I totally agree with you. Just to let you know, these filters were just used for testing purposes, eventually a proper dual stage oiled air filter was used on this particular truck. Great comment and I hope people see this, so they know not to use those automotive style dry air filters.

You should just sink that engine in a small container with nitro fuel overnight, next day all the sludge just washes out!

hey bro! that is what some people do, you're right. Personally I like the soap and water with brush idea, it's highly effective and also degreases the block well. But at the end of the day, what matters is they all run, right! and we get similar results. Can't kill a nitro!
