Thanks for sharing your work! Can you tell me a little bit more about the Evolution saw you used to cut the tank? It looks like a circular saw but I can't seem to find any information on it. Thanks in advance!

Hi Richard, thank you for the comment! The Evolution saw I used on the tank is their 7 1/4" multi-material saw, R185CCS. Amazon has them for $169.99 (canadian site) but if you're in Canada, Canadian Tire has them as well and they go on sale for $119.99 every couple weeks. Thanks again for watching!

Yes sir it is! I love stick welding! I usually run 6011, but for this build I was out so had to use some 7014.
Great video! What did you use to build the firebox? 1/4" or 3/16"?

Thank you for watching! That firebox, (like all our fireboxes) is made from 1/4".
I don't know much about the Evolution saws. How do you think a standard worm drive circular saw would perform with one of those Evolution blades? Is there something unique about the saw itself that lends itself to cutting metals as well?

Hi, so this Evolution saw has an advantage over "wood" saws, or regular saws, in that it's RPM is only 3700, which results in better torque in my opinion. I used to swear by my Skill Saw worm drive for many reasons, however for cutting metal it prematurely wore out blades. Can it cut? Absolutely, and it cuts just as well as a metal saw, however I found my Skil would heat up a lot quicker than it did cutting wood, so I wouldn't recommend using it for metal on a regular basis. But for one project, it would should be fine. As for blades, I'm just finishing up a video on a Maximum blade from Canadian Tire. I honestly don't recommend the Evolution blades. I have tried multiple blades in two sizes, 7 1/4" and 10" and they just don't hold up as well as Diablo's steel demon. But if you're in Canada I do recommend trying their maximum ferrous metal blade.
