I’m surprised to see the comments. After a disaster still people are in halogenation. Have you ever seen this situation in any of the other dams in TS or AP. Great job by Congress to pull the information to public domain transparently. Local repairs doesn’t guarantee the similar problem in future again all three barrages should be constructed freshly but question is whether it is viable. We need additional information like water flow in last 10 yrs at Tummidihatti, Medigadda to understand which one is better. As we see very less amount of water is lifted in past few years from Medigadda

Brother have u gone mad...pranahita chevella project which MH govt didn't give any permission for construction of barrage...but they started projects despite CWC objections...and spent 11,000 cr (subject to correction) but no one is speaking abt that. Do u know escalation cost of pranahuta from 2005 to 2010 is from 18000 cr to 40,000 cr can u explain y this escalation ...they say the same reason as old congress would say...and to say more i am the victim of pranahita chevella ..we have 12 acrs of land under the name of this project they have acquired our lands and didn't even started our projects but they gave mere compensation...u can say why u have given lands then ..do u know what collector said at that time ..if we don't give our lands they will put cases on us ..this is the pure ground level situation what has happened during that period...kindly know 360 degrees brother...there is no surprise congress during that period behaved ruthlessly...

In our country whatever the party in government they use similar tactics to acquire land no one will be ready to give up their land as many of Indians will have attachment to the land and properties. So I can understand your frustration. Now, let’s talk about Tummidihatti vs Kaleshwaram what is the status of barrages what we saw now is just a trailer same thing will repeat for other pillars or blocks and other two barrages as well. Mallana sagar constructed with capacity of 50 tmc but they never filled more than 20 tmc because they were scared to fill more water. What happens if dam breaks its upto your imagination. Cost: Congress had done work with money from pocket (budget allocated to Irrigation department) next govts are supposed to utilize the canals. See what did TRS did they brought huge amount of loans (lesser out of pocket money) with high interest rate (around 9-12%). As quality of design, construction are worse situation is too worse to correct the mistakes. Situation is more worse if you check about villages (people)emptied for mallana sagar.
