In fact, this was the very first mine car style coaster, a well-loved concept inspired by American frontier history that was later copied all over the world.
On more than 2,400 feet of track, you’ll fly through an old mining town at 35 miles per hour,
A series of snaking S-turns will get the breeze in your hair. The authentic mining town setting only adds to the fun. You’ll zoom past old prospector tents, covered bridges, and through the dark rock crusher quarry.

Crazy to think how much i loved this coaster 20 years ago now. Always better to sit in the back though! I hope six flags never removes this one. I love how its NEVER changed since I was a kid decades ago.

Back in the 60s I was so exited and proud when I was finally tall enough to ride this awesome ride, great memories looking forward to going back !

A classic. Section 1 knocks you around and is the meat & potatoes of the ride. Section 2 is gentle until the very end with a little bump. Section 3 is the biggest thrill. Yeah, the lift hills jerk hard, but they've never caused me pain.
I used to work at this ride.
The theming and the final drop from the saloon make this an all time great coaster. It also proves you don't need an 80 mph, 300 foot drop to be a great ride. This bad boy never gets close to a hundred feet off the ground and never exceeds 30 mph, but anybody who says it isn't a blast is lying
To be honest, this is one of my favorite rides at Six Flags over Texas

This ride was great... except for the fact that my neck still hurts since going on this 3 days ago other than that a very nice ride with an unexpected drop at the end
This place is so well themed😊 The Shockwave coaster in the background made me feel so immersed 🤯😍

All those years we went we never rode the runaway mine train just the mini mine train. We should've rode the runaway mine train. Really enjoyed your video!
This was the first coaster I ever rode, about 50 years ago. Rode it today, still fun, but I don’t recall it being as rough as it is.
Who agrees they should make a new ride where the old Harley Quinn was?

Very Fast Roller Coaster!
At 1:57 - I didn't realize the mine train got that close to the Shock Wave, it's been forever since I rode either one.
I’m going to six flags today over Texas this ride is kind of scary
i rode this yesterday but you guys know the big drop at. the end? well went i went on it the second time i just yelled jmancurly bc i love his vids

thought when they revamped this they fixed the lift hill where it didnt hurt your back.
So sad that in rct2 when it first came out that this runaway mine train, batman the ride, Mr freeze wasn't recreated in!
Just went to six flags not knowing the course of this coaster, and my friend went “skibidi sigma” and then we plunged down the big drop not knowing it was there 😭
it was not bad but i like it
I remember one time I broke my nose on the last drop on this ride
