The iconic Oil Derrick has towered over Six Flags Over Texas since first opening in 1969 and is still the world's tallest land-based oil derrick.

This is my favorite spot in security 😊 Love giving guests tiny tours and information about the park from up there. And it’s always cooler with that breeze! 👍🏻

Happy 50th (Mr. Derrick) LOL I know I'm getting close to the park when I see it. It was also a land reference to where the "Spee Lunkers Cave" was. I always take a ride up to experience the vastness of the park and the surrounding Texas prairie. 50 anniversaries this year. America's moon landing, Six Flags Over Texas Oil Derrick, Woodstock, Sesame Street premier.

Use to be a nice family place mow it's just bad and run down
