What kind of bias tape is that?

I've watched video and have ordered the items I need to map the 6 panel dad cap, what I need that I can't find (or know the name as to what to ask for) is the part to put on the button after it's ready to attach to the hat (with prongs). The button cover materials I have put a designated back for sewing the button on rather than what you used in the video.

Cap buttons from Capsupplyco come in 3 pieces. Lay the fabric over the top. Wrap it around to the inside of the top. Slide the middle section in the bottom opening of the top. Securing the fabric in position. Place complete top on center of crown. Hammer or press bottom prong piece through the crown into the middle section. Prongs will bend and lock the 3 pieces together :)

Hi whats a dad cap what makes it different from other hats? I bought alot of the patterns an they were perfect but the dad cap was kinda small so is it a kiddy hat or not???

I have a hat that fits me perfectly. doesnt touch my ears or anything. Its low profile dad hat and not baggy either a perfect tight fit with a curved bill. Could i possibly take it apart and use it to make another one exactly the same ? Cuz it took me like 3 years to find a nice hat to fit my small head without touching my ears. Lol

I'm looking to start building hats as a hobby. I haven't sewn in a while and need to buy a machine to get started. If you were to recommend a machine/attachments to handle hat building, what would you choose? Eventually I'd like to be able to get a set up like what you use, but as of now I just need to get the most bang for my buck. Thanks for the inspiration!

No, I typically do not. You stitch across them when adding the sweatband so it locks the stitches down :)

I bet you could get away with a fat quarters worth. Wouldn't look too terrible if you turned it into a scrap buster project and make one of a kind hat!

You should learn how to use Marvelous Designer and create tutorials. I'm sure that with such a knowledge of the real thing, you'd an amazing digital teacher. And there's a lot of need for them when it comes to Marvelous. Easy to sell them on Gumroad for example.
