I can't even imagine the grief and anger the mother must feel. She raised a good son who did nothing wrong, just driving home from work. Those 5 men were just looking for someone to beat, it was disgusting, he was pleading with them, yelling for his mom. Those 5 men do not deserve to live, they were brutal and heartless, definitely not fit to be police officers.

I was thinking about officers that resign to work around any lingering impropriety from their previous position. There needs to be a type of exit review of the resigning officer with a penalty of perjury for the administrator as to the officer's status in the department. That's my first thought about this loophole. It definitely needs to be closed.

Just like Doctors & Lawyers have specific schools to become that profession, there should 100% be specific schools to be a cop! 4 years of school that covers many hours/classes of CONSTITUTIONAL LAW & Laws that they will deal with on an average daily basis. It’s shocking that the average cop has NO IDEA on basic ID LAWS. 95% of cops think because they were called to a scene that this immediately gives them the right to get someone’s ID. I have watched so many videos on KZread that show a cops escalating into violence because the citizen knew their rights and refused to give up their ID. Then when the citizen was on the ground bleeding, other cops would show up and they would all be laughing and justifying the beat down supporting the offending cop. And with the scenario I just wrote about, well the State Attorneys Office will then prosecute the beat up citizens for the trumped up charges the bad cops came up with even though body camera or civilian cameras captured the illegal beat down and arrest because they know if they can somehow get a conviction then the citizen has no recourse in suing the department and city! Tell me that doesn’t scream MALICIOUS PROSECUTION AND RICO! The department of Justice should be filing RICO charges against all party’s involved but they NEVER do. It’s a scam against the people, and that scam is in place to CONTROL US AND TEACH US A LESSON!

What a horrible incident! It would be worthwhile to know more about the psychology behind dealing with hard core criminals day in and day out over a long period. I imagine that it would be hard to resist becoming cynical about human nature after years in Law Enforcement or as a prison guard, for instance. But why do some manage to avoid the corruption that too often comes with unchecked power, while others in the same position succumb to it: mistreating suspects, family members, or even innocent civilians? Knowing what the red flags are - both situational and behavioral - might help prevent this sort of conduct.

During the pandemic I watched police brutality in most states from people on the street streaming live on TicToc. Police used to honor an oath to protect and serve but over time they've become militarized and their oath now, it seems to me, is US Against Them, we've become the enemy to too many officers. They used to be professional, neutrally enforcing the law. Now they're very emotional, they get angry and escalate encounters using their power to injure and kill. Until police 'qualified immunity' is altered to make police responsible for their actions random men and women will meet their death at their hands. Tragic, unnecessary death!

thank you for the analytic report & commentary. btw another “elite” unit branded as poisonous animal. “cobra” i can understand, rising against great danger only. but the suicidal “scorpio”? 🐍🦂😮

The elephant in the room. Anabolic steroids. Can be tested up to 30 days and should be mandatory testing on police in any questionable incident. No one wants to touch this topic. Read that a department is looking into the subject but crickets. This is almost surely to be a major part of the problem with these incidents. Read up on anabolic steroids which are used a lot by cops.

That' is horrific and sickening Harry! I presume the man the police beat to death was black. You didn't say. (Not a criticism. Probably everyone in the US knows about the case.) Police departments must know who among them is racist and / or has violent tendencies and move to sack them before these tragedies happen. Thank you for your report. The cops were black. I do agree there was probably racism in that they were prosecuted. If they had been white they might have gotten a vacation with pay.

I suspected the victim was black because duhh, but surprised that the cops were all black. But as some in the black community and others have been pointing out, black lives don't matter in the hood because most violent deaths there are black on black and that also along with police violence needs to be addressed. Poor communities want police to respond to crime but don't treat everyone there as a criminal suspect.

Thank you Harry, it was, is as hard to hear this as it was for you to break it down for us. Life in prison is to good for the 5 who murdered him. But the death penalty is far too easy... thanks 🫂♥️🫂♥️
