In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/

The moment I left Auckland, I headed north to Northland, where I met up with friends to explore stunning beaches, lush forests, and learn about the incredible Māori culture.

Great to see you both Kinga and Runa!!!!! Both of you are ambassadors for many bikers 👍🏼👊🏼💪🏼👌🏼🤩
that is the most Kiwi thing you can do!- The Vege/Marmite comparison - and you made the right choice. a delightful episode. Your step-off in the first crossing was inevitable, I know how that one is full of football sized boulders. You have captured Molesworth/Rainbow with aplomb. Ive also flown the route and I truly believe that it is the best ride in NZ. I live my life through your videos now haha. Thank you for taking us to D'urville Island - somewhere Ive not been. Your filming/editing is awesome. Ive watched every vid since I found your Africa videos
You are SO SO lucky to find key! A dream for me would me would be fly fishing on a motorcycle in New Zealand!
That's so cool!! My two favourite motorcycle vloggers in one video!! ❤❤
On meets Off with a missing key. Poetic. Cool friend.
Wow two of my leading motorcycle's ladies....💐💐
It was wonderful seeing you two ladies together. I would love to see more.💐💐
Wow! What a adventure, lost keys , camping with a friend, beautiful scenery on a great ride, Cool! Very nice video 👍

Runa's channel is amazing too
So good to see both of you together have fun 😊❤
Good kiwi help right there. I'm getting a big bright colored key tag now too.!
Nice one Kinga. Go west and drink the best beer in the world - Monteith's Summer Ale, Spring Ale, whatever Ale. Go slow in NZ, things tend to take a bit of time to happen but something will happen. God I miss the South Island!!
Great seeing you together, we love your episodes and look forward to the next ones.
Finally Runa ❤
Awesome video! Goodness, the kindness of strangers never ceases to amaze me. Such a wonderful couple and beautiful children who were eager for the adventure. Warms my heart. Good to see you both riding. Beautiful countryside for sure. Best!
Unfortunately taking a nap in the water crossing. That means that your bike and luggage is too heavy. Good that you got help. Heavy bikes have heaps of comfort, but in case you drop them you need a crane ;-) Marmite might help. Beautiful scenery in NZ. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
What an amazing video!! You really are riding and camping in a bikers paradise. Stunning scenery. Have fun!! Regards from Cape Town.
Yikes, losing that key fob was nerve racking….I have a Kawasaki with a fob, I wear it on a lanyard around my neck. It has a separate key for a tail bag like yours, I just lean down it open it, it’s a pain but the fob never leaves me. Glad it worked out for you and you found it. 🥳🥳🥳

How did this happen
Girl power .....great riding, it's always nice to have a riding buddy once in a while. Garth
Hi my dear, don‘t lose your head, don‘t lose your key and stay on the road …good luck to the next stop
I'll be checking out Off She Goes videos. Always love your videos Kinga! 👍
Sehr schön
Lottery ticket time! Help was there right when you needed it 👍
lovely ! two princes are togather
At least this happened somewhere in New Zealand and not in a desert in Africa....❤
The road provides - best example I've seen in ages. 20 minutes from tragedy to happy ending lol!

Oops, then you dropped it... ugh my back hurts watching it!
Greetings to you from Tangier, Morocco, my dear friend. Amazing video. The scenery is very wonderful
WOW, just yesterday I saw Runa riding in some race in Europe and then today she’s in NZ. How cool is that!!!
Hi Kinga, What a beautiful place, and an awesome camping spot... but my favorites by far are the mountains. What a stunning world we live in. 🌎 That was an epic ride. How crazy meeting up with everyone. By the way, your hair looks great, wind and all! Safe travels and see you in the next one. ❤
Wow wow. How come together bike 🚲🚲🚲 good.
I've been following Runa,now I'm off and on !!! 😊
Amazing place to see. And you with Off She Goes, cool that you met. I also follow her on youTube.👍
Your very lucky, people find you
I just watched the other channel and switched to here and there where you two were together
Thanks again Kinga, way to go....great trip. Just a small amount of marmite, too much gives the tummy jip.😊
And there is a Hungarian subtitle. great, at least I understand everything. I love this little motorcycle girl even more now. 😜🙃✌️❤🙈
Wait till those kids tell their friends, that they helped a motorcycle goddess ,when they were on vacation.
2 amazing and inspiring riders, together in an awesome video! Thanks Kinga & Runa! 👍👍
Why didn’t the bike tell you that the key isn’t in range? My r1250 does
Hello Kinga, good to see you in another video. I hope you have a fun adventureo
There would not be trips without falling over in water loose sand that is what it is about or losing your keys lol great to see both of you !
Lordy ,lordy, you put so much Marmite on the bread that my mouth was burning for your part !!😆
Epic episode Kinga :)👊
Kinga ! Wow,long time no see ,haha. Good to see your video again. How's the hair? haha. All you extreme adventurers make me feel inadequate but no,mostly inspired to get out more. I dropped my bike key at a lookout & it lodged down in the side panels. But hooked it out with a wooden ice-cream spoon I found. Groovy travels Kinga.
Greetings from the Netherlands for K & R, the Kiwi's are our antipodes. Beautiful video.
Hi Kinga I agree, marmite over Vegemite. In the UK ,the word , marmite, means some people love it and other people don’t. Safe travels 🏍
Two keys are better than one . Good to keep a spare in your inside pocket on your jacket .
Great show girls
Joe Ryan of Roam fame ,did this ride just a few weeks ago Nice you could meet up with Runa ,I love her chanel too
Nie przypuszczłem, że kiedyś spotkacie sie Panie razem. Obie Was obserwuję od dawna, lecz dotąd każdą z osobna. Aż tu nagle moje zdziwienie?? - jesteście razem w tak odległym kraju. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Tu es une femme trés courageuse !!
awesome, I follow both of you. last year I drove with a neighbor to the airport in her car. she got out and we said our good. bye and I drove off. I think I saw colors on the dash and some sounds as well...not sure exactly but a level of fear that I never felt before came over me.....frantic 911 call to her as well as texting 911 because she had the "key" and I didn't know if the car would just stop at so e point. that keyless system......oh boy. safe travels! love your trips. been following for ....thru the US at least.. 😁
Good to see you were having a good time. A couple of times I have kayaked in the sounds of Marlborough not far from your route. Fantastic area except for the wekas stealing food!
Most riders have no idea how easy it is to drop a bike when off-road. Very small angle of lean at low speed before it’s past the “point of no return” - especially when loaded up for a trip. Like you, I have always been fortunate enough to have willing helpers turn up within a short time to help me get mine back upright. Really enjoying you videos - beautiful country. 😁👍
Vegemite originally was called Parwill. As in if Marmite, Parwill. Us Aussies & our sense of humour. Keep up the great content.
two cute girls and their bike drama 😍
I live in Nelson only an hour away from the start of the Rainbow, its a hard life 😅 The first water crossing ( 6 Mile ) catches out a lot of riders.
Jesus, lost the keys, dump the bike. What an adventure. New Zealand is a beautiful country. Ride on 🏍️
Amazing ❤❤❤
I would go back and find my keys, but they would have been run over by a truck(my luck). There should be a small plastic key that you can use as a backup to start the bike. At least the keyless 1250 has that option. Just never put the plastic key in the same place as the regular key and you can get out of trouble.
Superb landscapes and very nice video, the keys to my motorbike are always in my pants pocket and attached to the belt loop, have a good trip Kinga and Runa 👍✌✌
Thank you dear Kinga, an excellent episode, full of stirring excitement and drama. Question: is Runa the girl from Scandinavia? She is a long way from home then.

Yes, she's norwegian.
I half expected to see you slide. We live locally to that run and those small creeks can have slime.
HI Kinga, how nice it was for us for your meet up with Runa, really enjoyable. And how panic stricken you must have been loosing your transponder key, my last two 1250 GS's have both been keyless, my method is, firstly always carry the key on you in a zipped pocket, also I purchased from BMW a spare transponder key which I keep wrapped in aluminium foil and stowed away under the locked saddle, and on a lanyard around my neck I have a basic transponder less key, which you can purchase from BMW also. This way I never worry. Really liked the Vegemite V Marmite taste test, I live close to Burton- on- Trent where Marmite was invented as a off shoot of the brewing industry. Thank you Ladies.
With your "keyless key" you should have received a tiny black emergency key which can be hidden anywhere in the clothing, or the helmet, or sewed into your jacket or pants. The transponder of this key is not strong enough to react on a larger distance than a few centimeters. You have to hold this emergency key above your rear tire against the water protector plate which is right underneath the responsible controller of the bike. And now you can start. That's how it is written down for my 1250 GS. It may be different but similar for your bike. I just can say: RTFM ;-)
You are amazing keep going
I guess all that's left is to meet a polar bear in the desert 😂😂
I know a guy who placed the keys of a Rental car on the roof and took off to the highway 😂. Was good while it lasted. Cost him 500 euros. Nice kiwis btw 👍 P.S: how do you manage to Ride with goggles? They shorten the SIDE vision too much for me. Heat is also and issue. Always end up going back to shades.

Epic ride 👍
"Do you guys mind dropping me off?" - "No way. Walk back, dear" 😊😊😊
Good to see Kinga and Runa! You were lucky with the key. I have been riding 50 years without the fancy tech, I hope I can continue to do so until I cannot ride anymore. I would hate if politicians get the upper hand and make it compulsory.
Girls on wheels.
Fantastic adventure riding and video Alain * Yellow
Love to you and Runa
Love both of your vlogs Kinga and Runa 👌 Kinga you might need to take a motorcycle jack with you , for next time your bike gets dropped. Regards 'Jack' 😁
You preferred Marmite ❤. Just subscribed!!
Agreed about the keyless motorcycles--Harley-Davidson has that, along with an anti-theft system that can get you stranded with no way to get help from passersby. You pay extra for a colossal loss in convenience. Motorcycles are supposed to be simple and basic, anyway--not loaded down with complicated electronics which can't be trusted. Sooner or later, everything fails. Simplicity rules.
So sorry about the keys :-( It happened to me once and since then I keep the security key with me hidden in my riding pants. That way you just stick it under the rear fender and start the bike and Off you go!
good seller of being anti keyless bike. Ive left my key in my boxes my bike several times luckily i couldnt ride away just had to get off to grab it.
Kinga, you're not getting any younger dear. It's time for a smaller motorcycle. I switched to a x300 Versys 4 years ago. It is so much easier and much cheaper to insure plus greater gas mileage . Your beloved Chili will always hold a special place in your heart . I wish you nothing but a safe journey. Always, Rogue
Very nice. Was this planned or happy circumstance?

VEGEMITE all day 😁🍻
NZer here, you need a wet-suit to enter water in most places, it's all glacial run off. Also Vegemite >>> Marmite. Marmite tastes like Guinness without the lines cleaned.

Oh the key saga! I'm in the opposite situation as you right now. My old Kawasaki Concours 14 had a key fob so I got used to that, but now I have a new TransAlp which has a standard key setup and I'm constantly forgetting to take the key out of the ignition when I stop somewhere because I'm used to just having the fob in my pocket. It also doesn't help that when I have the tank bag on I can't really see the ignition switch without leaning forward over the bag so it's somewhat 'out of sight - out of mind.'

Funny you should say that , I'm the same , my car has a fob that I'm always cursing because it's in a different pair of trousers ( I used to leave keys in the ignition ) , so I rode to a pub for tea one night and when it came time to leave I thought I'd lost my keys because I couldn't find them in my pocket, that's when my mate looked at my bike and said they're still in the ignition, good thing the locals were honest.
So lucky with that key. Should have it on a carabiner on your bag or something.
Vegemite and or Marmite, guess they arent in paradise then! 😅
Kinga nie miałaś informacji na zegarach, że kluczyk jest poza zasięgiem? O ile pamiętam mój tak właśnie daje znać.
Lea did the key thing in Sweden had to back track
Wow, right there is a reason to get an old-school key for the bike!! but where was it before you lost it?

I believe she said she left it on her top box...
Did you lose that BMW key fob on purpose? no warning on the TFT? -Nice Bike and scenic ride in New Zealand"
👍
The thing with a key is you can get more cut with fobs they need to be paired and sync up with the system Harley are the same fob are $100 plus the sync the battery lasts may 6-8 months. The manufacturer came up with ideas, make more money
I HAVE A MOTORCYCLE JUST LIKE THE ONE YOU ARE USING, TWO OBSERVATIONS, FIRSTLY ON A LONGER TRIP YOU ALWAYS CARRY THE SPARE KEY, SECONDLY, USE A LORD ATTACHED TO THE KEYS AND ATTACH THE LORD TO THE TROUSER FEEL LOOP. SO, ONLY IF YOU LOSE YOUR PANTS, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR KEYS. SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH, I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH, I'M USING GOOGLE TRANSLATOR. CONGRATULATIONS...

No need to shout dude I think people get the message without being passive-aggressive.
Key fobs are such an unnescessary invention. A good'ol key can not run out of battery, and can not be left behind as you cant start without it.

I'm with you on that 👍
I have a practical question. Do you have the same key for the top case? For my part, I have a key for the GS and another for the Givi top case but hooked together... I understand that I have to separate them even if the GS gives an alarm if the keys are too far away 😉
