Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit Build Project

Спорт

For this project, we build up the Go Kart Alley Off Road Vintage Go Kart. The Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit comes with a rendition of the Manco American Express Go-Kart, all the parts and hardware to turn this frame into a roller. No welding required; all bolt on items. Add a Tillotson 212E Engine to turn your project into a runner.

I bought one of these for $5 about 5 years ago at an real estate auction but the motor was to run around my 15 acre property, I took it home stripped it down painted the frame with Sand colored truck bed liner and then put it back together and threw a 80cc Suzuki dirt bike engine and rear wheel sprocket on it . That thing absolutely rips.

I would recommend drilling and taping your spindles for grease fittings. Over the life of the go kart that will add many years of use without unlubed wear on the front end.

A while back I looked for someone selling a full off road DIY kit in the UK and no one was. Some would sell you an engine. Someone else the wheels and steering. Etc etc but nobody had put all the components together in one package. And no welding needed as well.. bonus. You should ship to UK.

Looks like the steering spindles could use some plastic washers to help it to work a little smoother since it doesn't have a way to hold some kind of grease. Especially with that spring putting pressure down on it. But either way. Cool little set up 👍

Love this cart guys, but... all steering and wheel end nuts should be castle nuts with cotter pins. Lock nuts will probably never come lose, but what if they do. Remember, that front left wheel is spinning against the nut. If the wheel bearing fails, it could screw that wheel right off. Would hate to see yall face any trouble. With all that said, I love the simplicity of the kit. No doubt its quality. My 5 year old would love it.

Is there a way to adjust the Juggernaut to work with governed engines? I ask because it is a common problem with people doing the Trailmaster mb200-2 engine swaps. The regular 30 series barely gets any shaft even with an engine plate set full left. The Juggernaut design solves the problem and can be properly spaced but guys trying governed motors get kinda screwed by the rpm needed to run it past 6k. So it's perfect for swaps but ONLY performance swaps as is. Still a win but would be super convenient if I could down tune it for stock swaps.

Is the sprocket on the reare axle stabalized by anything but the lock collars. How does that not spin freely on the axle? especially after some use?

That's a cool cart , and i like the way the video was set up. I have had a question since i saw the first gps gusset on cars and cameras, is it possible to build an entire motorcycle frame including down tube out of the gps gussets?

do they have some modern 2cycle engines for this one? I had a cart bought around 84' at 14. It had McCulloch 2 cycle and solid rear axle. even a hydraulic disc brake. It was $75 but needed new tires and some maintenance.
