Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit Build | Part 2
Спорт
We tear down our Off Road Vintage Go Kart Kit to build it back stronger and prettier. Our "Foxy" Go-Kart Build gets equipped with a Stage 4 Tillotson 225 Engine, and we run it through the dyno to see how much power we are getting. Topped off with a 1st Person Drone chase, you'll be in for quite a ride.

Wow, thanks!
Raced a Fox brand cart in 59-62 but we ran Mac 20's on it. Not that the twin engine setup was that much faster but the added torque for bigger guys made a difference. Twins were usually an UnIimited class and me being a 10 year oId weighing nothing I was almost unbeatable in the UnIimited races. Dirt was the hardest to race, being so Iight I could bounce right off the trac. Good memories.
Sick guys. Without you'll us poor SxSers wouldn't be able to have all this fun. I really appreciate all the work you guys do.
Killed it with the editing 🙌🏻🔥
Wow the quality and editing was way better then I thought it would be 👍

Awesome, my new favorite channel. That`s about as fast as you want to go on a go-kart, with no seat belt or roll cage, that thing flies, it was getting a little squirley.

This looks really fun! ................... I too am building a go-kart.
What a great looking build! Other than the frame what all was powder coated? I tried to catch what I could in the video but afraid I may have missed something. TIA

What is the size of front wheel and rear wheel please.
Can you do a dyno comparison between a stock air filter and the pod filter with adaptor please? I run a foam filter on my Go-kart (with a Mikuni VM22, custom 28mm O/D exhaust and pitbike muffler as well as very carefull porting) and I've noticed a drop in power when I switch to a typical pod filter (just the same as when boy racers put pod filters on cars replacing the paper filter... OE is better) and I'm wondering if there is even any gains at all using the pod and adaptor or is it a waste of time just like it is on cars.

Is there a kit that includes the acres of land to play on? Looks so fun. Live in town and want to make one with my son but I think the neighbors will hate it. Maybe if we make it electric they won’t mind it so much… Really well done video by the way. You guys are impressive.

Sweet build whats the gearing and top speed
I was hoping to see how you aligned the front wheels? I was wondering why you didn’t put grease on the steering spindles, or maybe drill a grease CERT, lubed the cables with oil, maybe put some rubber covers over your axle bearings to keep dirt out?
Though it just seemed a little strange why you wouldn't have had the frame (and whatever other components) powder coated first, in order to save yourself the trouble of having to disassemble and then reassemble the whole thing over again... but aside from that, all-around it was a great project and video - nicely done! 👍

Would it be advisable to powder coat the kart first before putting kart kit together or do as you did. Put it together, tear it down then powdercoat? I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.
@scubasteve7946

Always dry-fit first because you may need to weld things or change stuff and touch-ups are not possible with powder coat the same way paint can. (Obviously you can paint touch up on powder coat it just doesn't look as nice)

Steering linkage is behind feet...yes it would be more responsive yet wouldn't it hit your backlegs? To me that's not safe. Otherwise absolutely love the design of this cart!

Can you share the specs on those wheels - the DWT Rims and Tires? I'd like to order a set from Go Power Sports. That's a glaring omission on the list above. Thank You.

Awesome. Being I’m 6’3 would I have any issues fitting?
@GoPowerSports

I have a question, does the engine in this video come in the kit your selling online?
@GoPowerSports

Sorry, this go-kart kit does not come with an engine.
Hows that carb work'n for you in mud or dry dirt, you should really put a mud sheild up ,like a fender to protect inner motor from dirt...
What horse power is the engine?
What was the top off speed
I wish i could get a kart like that, but unfuortunatly i live on Portugal, in the other side of the atlantic ocean...

stock aftermarket 6" driven. The drivens seem to hold up quite a while and do not give us fits, especially left in the stock mid setting.

Ruffly how fast (mph) you think it can go?
@GoPowerSports

With those big 18" tires and 6:1 gear ratio, we hit around 50-55mph. Would love to drop the gear ratio and even 15 cleats all around just to see what we can hit.

We always recommend test fitting everything first before powder coating. Too many horror stories of people spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a powder coat, only to figure out something was wrong.
