Off Road | Fins and Things - Moab | Jeep Grand Cherokee | Jeep Gladiator | Jeep Cherokee and More!

Join us as we go off road and hit the trails with 5 other rigs! In this video we tackle Fins and Things with 5 other full time traveling families. Everyone with us on the trail is driving a different vehicle with most of the Jeep Family represented. We also have a Toyota Tundra joining our Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk off road.
We get to see how different vehicles handle Fins and Things in Moab. Come along for the ride!

I find it very helpful to see/hear your comparisons among other WK2s and also comparisons to other makes/models. Great job!

    Ddawg I think front and rear armor are a great thing. You will drag your tailpipe on part of this trail. But if you go slow it won’t damage it. If you take of that lower front fascia you will be fine in this trail. If you plan on doing other more difficult trails in the area. Like hells revenge. Then yes you would need both. Good luck!

    Your videos are interesting. I like seeing what a GC can do or not. Several unanswered questions: Are you in Lo range all the time? What 4x4 mode is it in? (I assume 'rock' for this, but do you think the mode selector makes any real difference? I'd like to see you tackle a semi-difficult section in all modes for comparison.) Do the off-road pages in the Uconnect system help at all? Do you use them? You mention the open diffs on the old Cherokee, but of course your TH has an open front diff as well. Do you ever wish for an LSD front diff? Also, what is the tire pressure set at? Also, I see you removed the front valance. Is it permanently removed?

  • @ProdigalOverland

    @ProdigalOverland

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the questions! I usually only go into 4 low once things start to slip. Or there is a big climb. The mode selector does make a difference. We recently tested this on sand dunes. Look for that video. We would like to try it on different terrains in future videos The off road pages are a nice feature but I don’t feel like they are a must have feature. And yes the front of the Trailhawk is open but it has the active braking system that can redirect power. I don’t feel we are limited by that system. yes we just got rid of the front valance. I didn’t want to have to mess with putting it on and off. On the trails our tire pressure range if from 18-25 depending on terrain and how much ground clearance we need.

    Hi, Brad! As usual a great video with valuable commentary. I am writing this from Thessaloniki, Greece. I am coming to the States on Nov.1st and taking delivery of a 2020 JGC Trailhawk that week. I'd very much like to participate in the November Moab adventure, but I doubt I have the time to do any (simple but basic necessary) mods to it. Do you think as it is, completely stock, may do the job? Thanks. P.S. Here in Greece I have a (stock!) 2014 JGC Overland Trail Rated, that has taken me to some serious trails with no problems. Obviously our trails here and in Italy are no match to the ones on your side of the pond! ;-) Any thoughts? BTW, what are the dates in November and where exactly is the gathering spot/place? I'll be coming from Atlanta, GA. Tks

    Hey Evan, Thanks for reaching out! My wife said to tell you she is part greek! Did you happen to get the mopar rock rails on it? The trip is on our website. under the events link but the dates are Nov 6-8. Its about 1700 miles from Atlanta to Moab. If you can't make that weekend we might be able to work something out. As far as difficulty we can work around stuff. I actually don't know what trails we are going to do that weekend yet. We are doing several in the area to see which would be best.
