OFF ROAD BUCKET LIST TRAIL!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We take a family camping trip to Moab, Utah to explore some off road trails that we've never done before! And although our Jeep Wrangler is built for rock crawling, that doesn't mean it isn't capable of taking us through some breathtakingly scenic overland trails! The real question is, with two V8 equipped 4x4 vehicles...did we bring enough fuel?!

Lets give Chris around of applause for fixing these 2 trucks for the amazing scenery/trip we got to watch. Thks
Thank you thank you thank you for the plug for 'stay the trails'! I'm not some ecowarrior, but i'm seeing more and more of our public lands being fenced off from vehicle access simply because people don't follow the freakin' rules. Love ya'll, see you on the trails.
Thanks for educating people on proper trail etiquette, staying on trail, not disturbing fragile terrain, etc.
We are in Virginia. The Mid-Atlantic Backroads Discovery Route is on our bucket list. That campsite was amazing. As “light” off-roaders we would be happy just doing the roads to get to the trailhead.
I Have to get out to Moab! Photography there must be a dream. Nice to see Phoebe on the trails. Fuel and Hemi’s; the never ending story. Everybody looking fit and lovely! Fuel door won’t stay shut? Didn’t anyone bring crewing gum?! Oh, those Puppies! LiteBriteNationFuelsDesires!
It's good to see you guys getting back out there in the Stepchild. Definitely seems like these are the times you're happiest!

I second this thought👍
Kevin running off in the distance trying to be one of the dogs is your best shot ever.
Always Carry a Spare Tire,You Youngster's will Learn (or maybe not) when you get Stranded Somewhere without cell service and about 50+ miles from the Nearest Paved Road and out Wheeling Alone! Cell phones weren't even Invented when it Happened to Me and my dad out camping about 50 years ago! I'm 62 now and that's a life Lesson Well Learned, I stayed with truck and camper ,dad made it back on the 3rd day! I've Always Carried a Spare since i was old enough to Drive ,except for motorcycles I don't care if you have to toss it in back of the Jeep and pack your gear on top of it, it's called being Prepared, and on another subject: Peanut butter has gotten a lot bigger since i seen him/her last time, and it Great to see Chris Finally Wheeling his Land Rover!❤🍺🇺🇸
Such a beautiful video guys, I absolutely love those views!! Jelly and Peanut right at home and in their spots 🥰. Much love and respect ❤️❤️💯🤙
Thanks for the emotional pick up! Your episodes always bring a smile! And this episode in Moab?!! AMAZING! My Bucket list just got revised! Have a great day!!
I really think this channel should get way more views then what it does! 👍
I did that trail, about 8 years ago in my YJ . I did what you should never do.. I did it alone. But it was great. Glad to see you doing some exploring.
So much room for activities. I caught that reference. 🤣🤣
Man that trail sounds like a ton of fun and really long have fun. ❤ Lite brite nation ❤
It's great to see the STEP CHILD and the Rover on the trail to gather.
Beautiful scenery is one of the main reasons I got into off-roading. Yeah, I really enjoy the actual wheeling, no doubt about it. But the beauty of creation is a huge bonus to this.

CHRIS!! Your lady is adorable! Phoebe also did a great job, too! Love that Disco build 😃😃🤘
Awesome view looks like lots of fun
Wow.. what a reminder of why i love MOAB! Those views of sunset and the quiet. I remember well.
Awesome video and trail. End of video with PB and JB The Wonder Dog, priceless! Thanks for sharing.
What absolutely amazing scenery! Mind blowing
Lockhart Basin is one of my favorite trails I've ever done, not just in Moab. That campsite is a jewel as well.
It’s great you are getting out to see more of Moab. I do both every year I go. Some main trails and some of the normal. Great to hear you mention trail etiquette, more people need to live by this!!😃
Love the innuendos you guys always come up with. Take care God bless.
Went to Moab 2011 and loved it. Seeing this again makes me want to be there. Love your videos and love what you guys have done to the Stepchild. 👍
Amazing landscapes!!
Aww the family is together !!!
It was great to see the cute furballs on the trail again, Lockhart Basin is an easy but beautiful trail. We drove it many times in the 8o's and 90's and often connected it with Elephant Hill and Beef Basin trails. This video brought back great memories for me. Thank you for sharing.😘

Great video, fun adventure
This is my favorite kind of videos that you guys make.
Thanks for a great video. So many of "my" channels became "look what I bought this week" it's refreshing to get out in the mountains and go for a ride with my "friends".
Rim Rocker and White Rim are on my bucket list. Now I have to add Lockhart Basin to my bucket list. Thank you for the video.

11:14 - Brings back the off-roading of many years ago. (There was CB-Radio, if you can raise someone on a frequency). Drove trails even at night, (not too far out of town, lived near the foothills with trails). Not much thought, (in those days), given to break downs. (Not the same sentiment currently). How the years change the; *what-if* , thoughts. Your landscape views are mesmerizing.
Lockhart is one of my favorite trails in Moab. We always make it a two day trip, then go on to Elephant Hill from there. My buddy does it in a 4 Runner with 3" lift and 33's, and it has some challenges but totally doable.
Great video thank you!

Glad you liked it!
The roll on the roof reminded me of an incident that happened to a former employer in Mexico. During a family driving trip his grandmother passed away. Not knowing what to do in Mexico they wrapped her in a carpet and put her on top of the VW van they were driving. When they returned to the U. S. border they went in to talk to the people there to see what they needed to do with grandma. When they went out to show the officer the carpet was gone. They never found either the carpet or grandma.
If you guys ever come to Idaho ide love to take you up boulder basin and cook an epic meal up in the mountains. Whatever your favorite meal is. I can make it better than you have ever had. Come make a trip with me 🤟
It is awesome that Lite Bride Nation is back to wheeling the Step Child.
Moab is one of those bucket list trails for me.
Open it up for 5min, use up the gas you just got, lol. 😃💨. Lucky nobody was on the other side of the hill turn. 🫣 Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing y’all

You could see the other side of the hill turn long before you got to it, don’t worry. 🤙 We knew the coast was clear for a long ways ahead of us.
ive done lockhart on the dualsport, after you climb out of the canyon, views across the valley are stunning, this is cool to see you trail camping adventure style, i would love to look forward to more of these
If anything, everyone should visit MOAB just for the views. Happy Trails to all at LBN.
Definitely a trail I want to go to/ have wanted to. I tried making it to Lockhart Basin earlier this year, but the group I went with had a few issues in Arizona that did not allow us to make it into Utah.
As amazing as the views on Lockhart are, if you truly want to get blown away with Utah views, the Maze District is beyond stunning. We just did it last week....mind blown!
Living your best lives!
Ive personally seen Chris beet on a rental Jeep harder than he is on his personal rig. Dude had the hole crew cracking up. Thank you for your time.
Hey Meg 👋 I checked your video, your friend glad you all had a great time 😂
❤ I love you camping sight really awesome
Nice trip
16:21 for a minute there I thought I was watching a TrailRecon video with the music and scenery! 🤣
Love the step child. But that Land Rover 🔥❤️❤️
We took our Truck Camer to Chicken Corner... people thought we were nuts. Great fun and views!
Space tent... LOL @4:45 Almost looks like you are on Mars.... 🙂
Hi, rt out of the gate , OMfG scenery ❤️. SO Lucky you .
I so love your guys jeep 👍🤟😜
I did Lockhart last year in my stock Mojave, it was definitely harder than expected on 33s in a Gladiator, at least the entrance from Chicken corners. some great views and camping though.
On my TJ I had to go sand off some of the overflow valve inside the gas tank, the ethanol in fuel was causing the plastic to swell up and cause it to get stuck. Something to look at for your gas tank burping up fuel. There is also a GM part for a trail blazer that replaces the filler hose and has a flapper valve in it that works for TJ, might be similar sized for your application
The more pups and girls on your videos the better. That said I just clicked to watch Peanut. Success.
Saw you guys driving 2 weekend's ago past Arches.
nice to see disco 2 back in action i own 3 disco 1's i have that disease lol
Utah is amazingly beautiful! Loved the video! It's funny how close Kevin has to be to the steering wheel. My wife is 5'4 "and doesn't sit that close 😂. Sorry Kevin, still love ya
i did that trail in my xj open diffs on 32s in a rain storm talk bout interesting trip it is a awesome trail but it sure is long we did it in a day
Was actually wondering if that was grandma Griswold in the tarp !! Didn’t want to have her miss out on the trip !!
Lol the disco sounds like a vacuum cleaner
I have done Lockhart basin from Kane creek area all the to needles outpost we got gas
Kevin the issue with your tank it's not venting while filling so the fuel is "burping" out of the fill tube pumping slower could help too
Wow Brittany what kinda tent is that it looks very cool 😎 I like.😊
I need to get one of those tents
Is that a dead body on the land rover’s rooftop at the 09:10 time marker? Managed to ditch it on the trail? LOL 😉 Moab is so on my bucket list, we don’t have trails like this in Europe
Idaho BDR trail is another epic trail.
There is a sleeve you need to get from Billit that goes into the RotoPax so it will seal and not leak.
Definitely God's country. Wow, how awesome is that. Love the videos. I love PB and J too
Good morning Light Bright Nation!

Morning!
My TJ has a similar issue when filling up too. The TJs can be fixed by swapping the fuel fill hose with one from a chevy. Super annoying.
Lockhart is my favorite route in the Moab area. I've done it several times on 2 and 4 wheels. There's gas at the Needles Outpost (or there used to be) and Monticello is closer than Moab is for gas although it is south of 211. You guys missed a ton of cool things out there. Would have liked to see you try to climb the sand dune out of Indian Creek with all that hp.
Love moab I was there in 2022 for like 10 days it was a great time.. summer of 24 i plan on making it back...
Great video. Have you heard of an area of Moab (317 miles) being closed.
Please do a video on the fuel issue. I have a 07 jk and have had this problem even after a mechanic addressed it it came back. Their diagnosis was the vent tube. Worked for a while then started back.
We do a turkey fry thanksgiving trip on hells revenge in Moab every year . Jeeps and razors , big fun good peoples
Perfect
There are east coast BDRs as well!
For a while there I thought we were going to get some scenes from Chevy Chase's National Lampoon's Vacation, where he wonders through the desert. But no worries you made it out. If worse came to worse, you could had put harnesses on those dogs. I meant Kevin and Chris BTW!
Thank you for a beautiful video of Moeb, very nice. I've got a question could a person do that trail with a rental Jeep ? Your camp location was out of this world.
The Utah Monolith was just off Lockhart Basin road!!!
"Exactly 12 Gallons, HE HE HE". so funny
if no spare, carry the Glue Tread patch to compliment the plugs.
