where u put the sensor for open/close is genius - havent thjought about putting it directly on the arm before
I've been looking for a way to automate gate closing and opening on a schedule. I want the gate to close at night and open in the am by itself. Looks like this setup would allow that to work... thanks!

Great, thanks for sharing. I notice you but the Wi-Fi booster you use in the window. If I was to mount it on the inside of a outside wall, will the signal transmit through the wall? If so approximately how far do you think?
I have a similar gate, where did you get the cross bars you attached so you could then attach the opener?

What app do you use and is there a way to only give access to certain people like with a code or would I have to buy a keypad also?

I use the smart life app and I do believe you can make special access for others. I never tried before
I have the ghost opener, but I am over 1000ft from my home to the gate. I looked at the specs of the outdoor access point and couldnt find anywhere what the distance of the wifi signal is cast. Do you have any idea how far the wifi works from the access point? I already have a camera that I can see and talk, just wanting a way to open the gate when Im not home. thank you
Can you close the gate when you are not at location.... like when you are out of state?

Yes exactly. As long as the house has internet at the time it will work from another country. I have since updated the system and I’m going to try and make a updated video in the next few weeks. The new system is similar but has way more features for other things in your house as well.
hi!, can you open it with the app without your phone being connected to your house wifi?

Yes of course you can. There’s been times where I forgot to close it and I’m at work and I look and it says it’s open and I just hit the button and close it.
Where’s you’re Lamota opener getting power from? Or did you cut the power line and that’s where you got power?

I have a 12v marine battery in a box near the gate and the solar panel charges it. That’s all that powers it all and it’s been working flawless for over a year or more now.
What app is that?

Actually I switched from that app and setup to one with more features. Check out YoLink they have the opener and much more
