OFF GRID POWER AND WATER SOLUTION | MORE IS NOT THE ANSWER
After plenty of trial and error we have perfected water and power management for off grid adventures. Being able to carry plenty of water and having big battery capacity isn't the end of the story when going off grid, at some point you will run out of water and power no matter how much you have, its how you replenish these two things is what is important, and we think we have it nailed!

Good job. I put my pump etc in a plastic toolbox, Anderson plug etc. 100% agree power, water, dump point are key to taking out the stress. Saying that just remembering i need to get 2nd toilet cassette. I also had a custom bladder 360l made for the back of my disco. Fills all 3 tanks in one go. Cheers 4x4smile
All good advice there mate. The water retrieving setup can be done cheaper/easier (like mine), but yours is more "professional", easy to use and has a dedicated spot. Nuthin wrong with that!
Another great video, your setup is the envy of most I use your quick release solar clips and 45 degree angle brackets all the time After testing my setup running freezers on a fishing trip is a whole new ballgame, ended up using the Honda generator to help charge batteries while fishing, batteries took over at night Without the generator I would need twice the lithium and solar, then you hope for sunny days
Hey. Cheers for another great episode. One thing that interests me, and no one seems to talk about it, is how you manage grey water when you can't drop it. If you have 200-300lt water but 80-90-100lt of grey tank. Keep up the good work✌️

Just run a sullage hose out to a tree. If urine is involved, dig a pit. Otherwise, run the sullage out on a dirt track when leaving.
Another awesome episode 👏 Use it , Dont abuse it ,😅 in this way no wastage 😊 Thanks for sharing 👍 Greetings and cheers 🍻 mate from south africa 🇿🇦

Wonderful advice
Love the Anderson lead to to charge the camper idea. I just did a test, mine isn’t super efficient, 28amps out, 20amps in. But it will get me out of trouble in bad solar conditions! The wiring that came with my camper isn’t ideal!

Great that works for you mate, yeah you do lose some out of the charger.
Another great vid thanks - quick question how do manage rear axle load under 2400kgs? Did your GVM upgrade increase axle rating?

Hi Chris, that’s a great question as I have always thought about that and covered that topic in some videos but I myself have never weighed the rear, and going to a smaller van with less ball weight had a lot to do with staying inside all weight limits.
Hey mate, do you have another valve to switch between tank refill and outlet? Or just turn the outlet off and it fills the tank?

Yeah Mate the ball valve at the bottom switches this over.

@@SmartTouringSystems ohh I thought that switched between external suction or tank drain, I'm wondering how it changes from outlet/ tank refill after the pump? Or im I missing something? Don't have a diagram?
Where did you source that 3 tap manifold & switch? I'm chasing something similar.

I'm using ecoflow 1kw delta in car ~2k. Built an auto switch over to switch between 400w sunpower panel on car roof rack and a 48v stepped up supply from the alternator. Charges at around 390w while driving. Can run up to 1800w ac off the inbuilt inverter, kettle/toaster and charging van. All done for around 3k.
