CONTAINER DELIVERY DAY! | OFF GRID AUS | EP.2
Ойын-сауық
Today our container home projects begins! While taking delivery off our 20ft container things don't go to plan and we have to assemble the troops to help battle the weather and get the contain in place.
Still getting the hang of this filming myself while also trying to do things i have never done before. We will be working on upping the production value and content moving forward.
Hope you enjoy :)

I was watching this video with so much anticipation. I feared the worst with that container, but you handled it like pros.
Great job, can't wait for the next video.

Thank you :)
You can buy/hire wheel systems that lock into the bottom of the container to help move them around easily. They run about $350-700 to buy or about $70-80 a day to hire. Just a cam-lock and a wheel hub basically. There's a few companies from the Gold Coast and Sydney (?) that make and sell them and I've seen knock-off ones on eBay. If you're handy with a welder you could probably make some pretty easily. Or at least some skids to go under the front. An empty 20 footer weighs about 2200kg from memory. I've got all of this to look forward to once I get organised lol.

Yea, I saw them but no one had any available at the time and it would need 2 sets to get it to roll properly. we did it the 'interesting' way 😅

Hi from Brissy! Keep making vids! I'm hoping to escape the CBD Corporate job for off-grid life one day. It's great to see some examples especially close to home 🤠

Love to hear! 😜 Keep the dream alive! You will one day! 🤙
Yep, moving that container like that would almost certainly have caused coronary failure for me - far too stressful. But super that you got it into the position you want. You'll build based on the single container for now, or more coming? Building sure has been especially hard last couple of years and still is. After our 3rd attempt failed early 2022, I just had a dummy spit and went and bought a nasty caravan!

Yea, no transport company would move it for us for a reasonable price as it's a fair way from the road and a decent grade. Got to do what ya got to do. We will build the 20ft out as a bedroom as the big shed will house the outdoor kitchen and toilet/shower cubicles being built in the next episode :). We plan to have a roof top bar on the container too, that should be fun 👌
Nice work champion 👍

Yeh they are heavy and awkward that's for sure 😂 no transport company would move it where we wanted so we just gave it a shot and it worked a treat.

Thank you for the feedback 😊 Agreed, we need to make more videos, we will have a new one coming up soon and then will try to keep it to a regular upload schedule from there. This was never meant to be setup as a regular thing as I didn't think many people would be interested, but turns out people are so we will be working in getting more structured in the future :)
