I just got a pre-owned micarta/brass variant of this knife in what looks to be near perfect condition for $215 shipped with a coupon code I had been holding onto. I can't begin to explain how excited I am to have found one for only just over $200 in such great condition. This will be my first experience with the LW Kickstop, & I cannot wait to try it out!

That is one of the most beautiful production knives I have ever seen, especially this specific combination of materials and finishes. Defintely going on my grail list.

I love this knife so much I bought 3 of them. I thought for sure these would be sold out everywhere by now. People really are sleeping on this one. I think when they're finally gone, a lot of folks will be kicking themselves. If you want to check out another Kickstop, I have a Pena Apache that uses it. Managed to nab one of the Damasteel and fat carbon versions. I guess they only made a couple dozen of them. I'd be more than happy to send it out to you for review. Let me know if you're interested.

Hey MC, the mechanism was used on some Kershaws way back in the 2000's. The Enr-G 1 and 2, and the OD 1 and 2. Both are long discontinued, but are cool collaborations with Lee Williams.

Just ordered the CF w/ bronze accents. I think the black, bronze and satin combination looks really nice. Looking forward to receiving this one, great addition for my meager collection.

This is my edc. Works perfectly all the time. It feels good to finally know the knife that I will use going forward. This has won the pocket!

I love mine! Took it apart to apply some gunny glide and it’s ridiculously smooth! Such a pain to reassemble though

i watched this video and immediately ordered the carbon fiber/bronze hardware and inlay. got it in today and it is incredible. i had the same reaction as MC, thinking it was kind of unassuming until i actually handled it. you won’t be disappointed with it.

This knife is very well done! It’s so straightforward but perfectly executed. This exact version is definitely my style too…let’s see if I can find one.

This $450 version is sold out, but SMKW still has carbon fiber with bronze. It looks just as good, if not better, imo. Best of luck in your search.

Also the detent on this is sooo satisfying, it's almost magnetic. It grabs and sucks in when the blade is still like an inch open.

Hey MC, FYI Pena X did a run of the Apache with the Lee Williams Kick Stop. Love the Kick Stop will be getting an F22 soon. Stay sharp MC.

The base price on these is completely in line with typical Reate made knives, and then there's a bit more added on because Lee Williams rightfully gets a cut. A few places offered a discount on certain models of this knife over the holiday which is why you should sign up for those mailing lists.

The more of your reviews I watch the more I imagine you to be the Ted Lasso of the IKC--always optimistic.

Got mine, the natural Micarta/Blacked out version, the day they became available. It is an overall excellent knife, and the disappearing opening tab is great. Its my second Kickstop knife.

I wanted to love this, I really did. Got the carbon fiber scales model for Christmas. Love the "disappearing" flipper deployment, and it makes for a knife with just beautiful lines. But... A week after opening it up as excited as Ralphie Parker was on Christmas, the flip got very hard... Harder... Hmmm... Then suddenly incredibly easy. What's up? Examination revealed the detent ball was now completely gone out of the knife. No positive detent to hold the blade closed meant it was unsafe to carry or use. No idea what the deal was. Am I the only lucky one? I sent it back for a full refund, and I'll be getting something else.

Bummer to hear you had that experience. In case you ever encounter a lost or worn detent on another knife, in my limited experience it's been something repairable. A new bearing or ceramic ball just needs to be pressed into place. Takes a little more than say swapping bearings, but in circumstances you describe I'd expect most warranties would/should cover it. Should you encounter that in a ~$300 knife? No. But occasionally it does. @@markp4401 they were lottery only a few years back. Price wasn't that bad, I can't remember off the top of my head but was somewhere in the mid 1,000s I think. Secondary is obviously insane. Usually at least 2500
