Odyssey of the Dragonborn - Airship approach demo
A proof of concept airship approach into Balfiera. Pardon the janky camera and moving about. I am doing a fly along. The final version will have the camera attached at the ship's wheel and some fine tuning to the ship angle and pitch during the flight.

Just finished the arrival sequence (update to this video) but not sure if I should set it public or not. Don't want to spoil too much and it's got a little bit of spoiler in it. Thoughts?

Ah a bit like the first arrival in Solstheim, good idea, don't want players falling off on arrival lol.

Is it possible to add some skimming water and then a splash sound and/or effect for when it finally touches water? This is already incredibly impressive regardless if you could or not, love it!

@@Kropolis it will actually fade out to a blinding white imagespace and have splashing and ship creaking sounds as it lands. It's a transition when it lands and you load in to the next area right after. If I can figure out how to do the collapsed balloon swap out mid transition I probably will do some more work on the water impact and have it coast into the harbor where you will be loading in next.

as with ALL mods, you SHOULD start new any time you add/remove or move mods in your load order. LARGE mods and ESMs (which this is) are a 100% must for starting fresh, especially something that requires legacy since it's a sequel. On the up side we will have a character creator for Odyssey Act 1 that lets you start in a cell that lets you plan your character and make a levle 50-ish character with all the trimmings with all the required content done so you can start Odyssey immediately.

@@Diwanthara Yeah it's a general stability thing for having the most stable load order, you can do as you like, but it tends to lead to corrupted saves at a faster rate when you add or remove big stuff

It's been much more than a year but we are still working away. Getting closer though.
God I miss playing Skyrim. My pc got destroyed last year and since then I’ve been too broke to get a new one. LOTD was my favorite mod by far and always was a central part to all my play throughs. I just hope I can get a new computer by the time odyssey comes out so I can re-experience a improved Skyrim again.

White gold is a close representation based off adamantia. We are trucking along but a lot still to do. Probably first half of the new year.
This is really impressive and makes me wish Skyrim had some sort of basic water physics to show the rippled waves caused by the landing ship. Sadly in vanilla it's a miracle something can move in the first place
