This weapon makes me think of the film The Wolverine. In that movie Logan uses a katana like this one and its heated, so it can slice through adamantium. It's cool seeing that concept cross over to other universes.

Love the videos and this one is simply amazing. If I may, I'd like to make a suggested substitution for the carpet tape. I've personally had great results from putting blue painters tape onto t he pieces and they using CA glue to adhere the 2 pieces together. I've found that its easier to remove and leaves less residue behind. Hope this helps! Keep up the great videos!

You just need to check out Tamiya PS-36 transparent silver spray paint. Used for acrylic ( I also use it on PLA and ABS) will diffuse light better, and is a silver spray paint.

I think you should have screwed the cover on for the battery to be able to change it when it fails. It also would have given you that manufactured look you were going for. Awesome work tough, and making it yourself instead of 3Ding it is always more rewarding.

Nice built next time you have a sticky tape problem use one of those bottles of anti stickers solution much quiker

You could have put some hot glue in the trench before the L.E.D.s to defuse the light better. Love the build.

Yeah I was pissed it wasn't in the game. Accordion folding the LED strip is pure genius. Yes you have to do it slowly so you don't break the connections but still. ..it's an awesome idea. I hate how the lights are so far apart and this works fantastically.

Might want to look at EL wire for illuminated items since you should be able to get similar amounts of light without LED hot spots.

About LEDs - I'd put also an extra layer to diffuse the light for better effect. Still it looks alright 👍

trick from Crimson Guitars. Put masking tape on each of the pieces you want to connect while cutting. put a little super glue on tape on one of the pieces, and accelerator on the other piece of tape, then put them together. once cut, you just pull the pieces apart

can you make boba fett and jango fett helmet it would be so cool to see the father and sơn have the helmets made

Love how this turned out, its so pretty. The only thing i would change is using EL wire instead of LEDs to avoid hot spots in the blade. Other than that though like i said its beautiful

All EL wire I have seen is underwhelming in it's brightness. It only looks good in darkness, or requires full wall power to run.

@@OdinMakes That would be awesome!! And if you can make it, it would be a good idea to use a bit of thin translucent material inside the plastic part of the blade called a diffuser, to spread the light around from the LEDs. Btw It's Genji's sword from the game "Overwatch".

Please do one of the weapons from the Halo franchise! The AR or the energy sword would be awesome

Can you make the Vongola Gear X Gloves from Katekyo Hitman Reborn? Those would be really cool.

I would like to really like to see, the gravity boots, from star trek, the wrath of Khan, made. I think that would be, interesting.

I dunno if you'll ever see this considering how long it's been since you uploaded it, but if you're ever doing a light blade like this in the future, maybe look into edge lighting on a PVC panel? it could help slim down the blade and improve the edge shape.

Sad this isn't even in the game 😭 they cut it. Now you can just put a mod on your sword to add thermal damage. Still excited about this build!

Suggestion: Maybe EL wire would have been a preferable way to illuminate the blade. It is a more 'consistent' light emitter as it has not single 'light bulbs' but shines ofer it's whole length.

Lighter fluid would help get that adhesive off quite easily

You can use rubbing alcohol for getting rid of sticky residue

You gotta make Mantis blade at this point hehe Also, thermal katana kinda in the game but not under the name "thermal katana" nor does it nanoplasma blade or something. It's simply just "katana" with legendary item level. I think the actual thermal katana likely in the upcoming free DLCs.

You should definitely make zeros Z saber from Megaman zero because the ones from the Mega Man X Games are just a lightsaber with a fancy hilt
