Odin 2 - Dolphin Texture Packs, Settings & Wii Controller Setup
Here is a guide and showcase of textures imported and used in Dolphin for Gamecube and Wii. The guide is the method I used at the time, but I have written in text during a couple moments that you can copy your texture folders to your interal storage and manually move with with a file explorer. It's easier but in case you have troubles then this guide to properly export and import your Dolphin data for Android might still be valid overall.

You've talked me into getting an Odin 2 now. The Steam Deck is the ugliest bulkiest thing I've ever used so I don't use it. I want an Odin 2 Max baby! This looks so awesome bro.
Thanks for the video. I purchased mine from witching your review on the Odin 2. Great work!
Thanks so much for covering wii control mapping. I have so many wii games I'm looking forward to playing and this saves so much time/experimentation
Thanks needed this for my odin
Much appreciated, Thank you for yourbtime and effortsbto make things easy for other.
Max in black arrives on Wednesday. I already have my micro SD set up and ready to go. Thanks for this video

The Pro/Max is a lot more tempting now, when I think about all the texture packs and shader caching all that internal storage is gonna be a godsend.
Great video.

Subbed for this. Keep it up with these niche tips n tricks vids, these “handheld guys” are becoming a saturated genre and they all cover the same things. I didn’t even know you could detach the joystick until I saw your other vid. Super helpful

What are the best controller settings/Mappings for FPS games like Resident Evil 4 and Golden Eye 007 for Wii?
Hi, Can you give us a link from the Odin 2 screen saturation scripts??Please
Why cant we just use touchscreen for that stupid pointer

Can actually
I did everything here and it still does not load the textures.
Hi, do you have a best controller settings for RE4 wii edition? I'm having some difficulty setting that one up 😔😔 I just want to use classic controls and not motion.
Any way to actually get touch screen IR working - I have this working great in Dolphin MMJR and it works fantastic for games like Galaxy series.
do you know how to configure the device so I can use the touchscreen as a pointer device, not the right stick?
I’m trying to figure out how to setup super paper Mario for the ir pointer to use on the touch screen lol😂 Could you help a dummy like me to get it setup? I would love to use the touch screen for the ir pointer
Is it possible to play the Resident Evil Seamless HD Projects??
Hi Alex, what analog caps are you using? Switch compatible ones?

I said in my review they are vita thumb cap ones. They're literally the same ones I've used on my Odin Pro this whole time.

@@-roetaka I got some vita thumb caps off amazon and they're super loose on the rp2s sticks, do they fit better on the odin 2 or are they still kind of loose? I have some concave switch caps that fit a little better so I'll probably use those but I'm just wondering anyways

@@flonzi They juuuust fit. I had to pull the stick off and they stretch perfectly over the sides and have stayed on. They feel really good too.
What version of Dolphin did you use? I can’t get Vulkan to work on mine. It only launches a game if I switch to OpenGL

Just Dolphin from the Google Play Store.
Is there a way to add texture for n64 games. I’ve seen some Mario 64 ones and I’m crazy over them

I haven't really looked into it but I guess there must be. Dind't think about it since 3D models on N64 are a low poly count.
Good or not? Thinking about this or SD
I really want to play the "Endless Ocean" games, which are Wii exclusives, but don't want to have to buy a Wii, set it up and everything -- if this can handle those games, that would be awesome!
8+128 can run yuzu games well for 60fps?
Im having a heck of a time mapping that B button on GameCube. Pressing it doesnt map it, selecting it on the cog to the right of the B buttons writes 'Button B' but it does not work in the game. Any suggestions?

I’m Curious too
For some reason my wii and GC key mappings are not registering when i press the physical buttons. I need to click the toggle on the right and select the correct button option from the dropdowns. Does anyone have any idea why its doing this?
Now you've had some time with your odin im intrigued in if you find it more ergonomic and comfortable than your ayaneo geek?
@-roetaka

It's definitely lighter and more pick up and playable, there will definitely be times I will opt to play Switch games on it over the Geek. But the Geek has a 7 inch screen and it is quite comfortable to use if you don't mind the additional weight. I was thinking about it yesterday as I was playing Switch games...you can play Kirby and the Forgotten Land decently on the Odin 2 but who knows if it'll be smooth throughout, however on the Geek I can push the game from 30fps to 60fps and it plays perfectly, and plays basically every switch game perfectly if Yuzu/Ryujinx can handle it. But the Base model is less than half the price of the Geek 1S.

Twilight Princess keeps crashing for me using that texture pack. Any ideas?
Exactly why I ordered the max…..start doing this stuff and you quickly see the limitations of 8gb.
Can you share your controller profiles?
with total commander you can add your textures directly to the zip dolphin file.
Dolphin won't let me export or import my user data. Whenever I try to do either, I just get the message, "Failed to export/import user data." When I tried to import my user data after installing a texture pack, it gave me that message and deleted my current user data. I still have all of my save data, dolphin settings, and controller profiles in a file on my PC. Any ideas as to why this may be happening or how I can fix it? I can't find anything about it on Google. I'm on version 5.0-20347.

So the method in this video is the "proper" way to import textures, however there is a simpler version which I show in my PS2 texture video where you pretty much just put the zip of the texture folder on your internal storage (let's say Downloads folder), unzip the folder on your device with RAR from Google Play Store and then manually move that folder from your internal storage to the texture folder location of the emulator which is inside the android/data folder. The reason it has to be done on the device is because you need a file manager that has permission to do this since Android 13 is an ass, the Files app is already on your device should work but I use ZArchiver from Google Play Store. Do the textures have to be .dds or can they be .png?

It keeps failing to import the user data.
so you have to pay for those texture packs?
If Android 13 just let us access the android/data folder this would be a lot easier.
