Not really... mine was working fine until 9 months later, it overheats, then it shuts off instantly. 30 mins of play time, then it overheats out of nowhere

You can extend the battery life by using an extra battery (such as the Anker PowerCore). Virtual Desktop also works with the Oculus Go and makes it able to play some PC / Steam games on the Go (sometimes the Xbox One Bluetooth controller is needed)

Virtual desktop is working with Go? I´ve read they cancelled it. I want to buy Go for Elite dangerous, so far ALVR seems to be only option but if virtual desktop is working, that´s better I suppose.

Highly recommend upgrading to the Quest 2, you'll have a beautiful experience. And due to the 6DoF tracking techniques Quest 2 uses, you can move your head and hands in 3D space (rather than their tracked movement being locked to rotation) in games like VRChat.

I personally enjoy using mine, as I am in the 8th grade and learning to code, and didn't want to bother with the complications of dual controls. I was able to do some cool things, on it, and it is way easier to get Minecraft on than the quest. I would definitely recommend it to people who are just beginning to dive into the world of vr. I can also use my phone as a controller if needed, though that can be finicky.

Hm? Can we have the gaming VR headset oculus quest review? The go is kinda outdated (in gaming) since it’s not that good for my interest, and many interests, would be awesome to have oculus quest review if ya can do that!

Can it be used with Xplane 11 VR or MSFS2020 Vr?

My quest go stopped charging and powered on after leaving idle for 2 months. Any solution?

I’ve had the oculus go for 3 years it was good in the first two now I just want a Quest or Quest 2 because there are barely any games on the Go. It also gets pretty laggy at times and I can see the lines of the display like an old tv.

wait so there's no option to plug in a usb and watch videos that way? Or unless there is but he didn't mention it because maybe you can't play any games via usb media?

Get the quest 2.. its very cool

Also, the Oculus Go had a waffle like "screen door" effect (horizontal and vertical lines that were quite obvious). Felt like I was watching TV back in the 80's with poor reception and resolution.

If you can't ignore a tad of screen door effect and actually enjoy the game you're playing or content you're watching, maybe wait 7 or 8 years and something for you might pop up.

I was thinking about getting this as an avid mobile gamer. Not sure I would really be fully able to appreciate the Quest.

@@yannisgk The oculus quest plus the link cable costs more than the rift s, but you do need a pc to use oculus rift s which is also a downside. the rift s has a slightly lower resolution panel, and it's LCD compared to the Quest's OLED. However, the tech in LCD means Rift S may actually appear slightly sharper.

1:06 actually you need a phone to set up and download games o. The go just so some kid gets it thinking you don’t need a phone for and finders or you do thanks for the video it rlly help me fill the blanks with the knowledge I have of the go keep up the good work :D

It doesn't have to be a phone specifically, kids can just use their mom's, and this isn't required to download and buy games, only for the initial setup.

I would only use this for a few simple games and other apps for about a year or so until I can afford one of the high-end Oculus products, like the Quest, so this will be perfect!

If you happen to have not made a purchase yet, I beg you, get the Quest 2. It has positional tracking as well as rotation tracking for head and hands (unlike the Go which uses only rotational tracking, therefore your arm and head can not be tracked in 3D space) It has a far greater library of games and apps, and especially in the future as support for Oculus Go has now ended.

I love it. It is mostly a good entertainment streaming system

Get the 64 GB its worth every penny 👌 more apps you can store. I've stored 70 apps on my 64gb and I'm never bored with it... there's so ......... much to see in it.

Ive got a quest and a oculus go and to be honest i play my go more because you can chill while you play with the quest you need to stand with most games and with some games you need a decent amount of room i love my quest but there are still limits were as go throw it on sit in a swivel chair and your done i am just saying i play my go more 👍

its a good cheap headset and the best part is its oculus brand. also in my thinking the best for starters of for people who wants a good price vr

No, but Oculus Quest 2 does. Put some research into that headset as it can play Rec Room and other social experiences, has positional tracking unlike the Go, still has support from Oculus unlike the Go, and a far greater library of apps and experiences.

The heat is my main issue- Annoying, but that’s about the worst

Sarahsaurusrex it’s a stripped down xiami phone in there on the processor there is a heatsink and the copper coil endds at the front of the headset it may feel hotter than it is So the coils witch conduct heat are on the front of the headset may feel hotter than it is

You need wifi to setup with your phone so you can connect it to your oculus, but I’m not sure if you need internet to play games

@@agent5758 You need the Oculus app to set it up and buy games and stuff, but you can't put it in the Oculus Go. You also don't necessarily need the phone to play the games on your Oculus Go, it has everything built in, as you download the games onto the headset.

I had that same exact problem.. but someone told me to get this rechargeable portable fan that wraps around your neck, once i used it while using my GO, i never had overheating issues ever again. So if you're interested go to Amazon & type in the search box: "Hand Free Personal Fan - Portable"

This isnt good at all if you find VR cool and want to try it. it really craps on the true VR capabilities . talk about it sitting in the attic after a week of use, after people getting sick of the battery life, the one controller, overheating, this is crap. Whats BEST for vr beginners is the quest 2 for just 150 more. hes talking like this is the best for beginners which is a horrible first impression on vr, smh...
