'Mr Octopus' 😂😂😂 Great recipe as always Akis :) Octopus stew was such a big part of growing up Mediterranean for me and it's a dish I always love to make because it's just so nostalgic bringing all those Mediterranean flavours into the kitchen. The honey really does add extra deliciousness to this stew and of course the fresh herbs 🐙

Your phrasing " Mr. Octopus" definately helps psychologically prepare for that slightly scary moment, having that respect enhancing corpse lying in front of you on the cutting board. Since I trust you completely ( and isn't this whole cooking-video buisness all about trust?) I will follow your advice and head for that shorter cooking time. Did once a Raymond Blanc recipe with squid that turned out nice, but a little too soft. Thank you very much, I enjoy every video and every bit of it!

If you have a local fishmonger, you should be able to order "a great Mr. Octopus" from them that will arrive fresh on the day you specify. When I was a young bride (almost 50 years ago now), we had no local fishmonger. However, my father in law would host a summer clam bake each year and he'd contact a fishmonger in "the big city". That shop would fly in to our closest airport the order of clams, crab, shrimp, and lobster and my father in law would drive to the airport and pick it up. It wasn't cheap to do that, though.

Hey akis. Great recipe, as always :) will be tough to find a full octopus here in my city. Btw: im always super amazed by your knife and chopping skills. I know there are lots of tutorials and I would consider my own skills quite okay for a passionate hobby cook, but could you maybe make like a tricks and tips tutorial for knife work or just some tips that could help beginners or intermediates that you would consider very useful but unknown so far yourself. Would be awesome. Keep up the amazing recipes til then :) greeting, a Long time fan from Berlin.
