Ocean Stories 3 - Dolphins and Whales | Ocean Documentary
Ute Margreff lives on Ireland’s Atlantic coast, Florian Graner in the Puget Sound in the Northwest of the USA. Both Germans share a deep passion for the sea and its creatures. About 10 years ago Ute Margreff got to know the female solitary dolphin Mara - it was the start of an unusual friendship. Florian Graner found its private paradise close to Seattle. Right in front of his doorstep he dives into a world inhabited by sea lions, giant octopus and orca whales. Both Ute and Florian fight for the protection of marine habitats, each one in a different and very unique way.

Japan claims that it has filtered the nuclear wastewater before discharging it. But They try to rape and drown people; they gang rape their females and sometimes hold them hostage for weeks; they murder baby porpoises for fun; they kill the babies of rival male dolphins, because as soon as her child dies, a female dolphin is ready to be raped and impregnated immediately.

Nice documentary. Indeed ocean is the most bizarre world, that seems to be very archaic on its seabed. Octopus’s view was incredible, so was the female hatching inside its cave. A birth in lifetime, and short life span. J, K, L killer whale pods have been studied and distinguished since they live permanently in The Salish Sea, where they feed on salmon. While the transitional appeared to hunt and feed. The pods are truly predators as we saw when killing the gray whale’s calf. On the other hand, looking at dolphins being alone, is kind of rare. What impressed me the most is how they interact with people. Seems a reciprocal study. Amazing how dolphins like to be rub with algae, almost like a massage to them. So is the way they prevent other species when there might be some danger. Curious relation between the dog and Mara, the dolphin. Thanks so much for all the explanation and details

Well i tried but nah still can't. I guess it'll be quite impossible for me to imagine a dolphon even in my wildest of dreams let alone being close to one. 😂😉😝 However, for the sake of the subject in question & to imagination in general, I could try the same but with a dolphin 🐬 😅... Well, it is grand to say the least but, even though how majestic, creative and wild your imagination could run, it still cannot compare with a real live experience with them dolphins 😊 See, every year, i travel to islands in the Indian Ocean such as Mauritius, Reunion, Koh tao, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Perhentian, Tioman, Maldives, Seychelles, Rodrigues etc etc...and over there, for an affordable package with the hotel, you can go out to sea and literally go swimming with dolphins. Yep, imagine swimming with friends and others in the deep blue surrounded by dolphins playing and having a blast. It is nothing short of a magical experience 🦄

The fact that transient Orcas eat other intellegent marine mammals has always deeply deeply disturbed me. I just can't get over it. The other type eat fish.

I feel the same about it... they seem so gentle with us human beings (hence mammals) that I subjectively expect them to be kind with other mammals (at least marine ones)... I know there's no logic to it though... we eat mammals after all :-). And yet I find myself picking only youtube videos about orcas not hunting (unless they are hunting small fish).

I live in Washington, the Pacific Northwest. I hate swimming in the sound because all wild life seem to avoid swimmers. EXCEPT FOR SEALS! They are like dogs who want to be pet all the time. Lol I truly believe that if there were any sea mammal that would gladly go into captivity, it would be seals. They love humans.
