OCALA, FL BUCEE'S?!
What started as a ho-hum Marion County Commission workshop updating plans for an Interstate 75 interchange at Northwest 49th Street ended with the news that the area is likely the future home of a Buc-ee's - a Texas-based chain of super-sized convenience stores.
The news came on Wednesday afternoon as Tracy Straub, the county engineer, detailed why staff were recommending a particular on-ramp and off-ramp configuration for the interchange.
"As staff looking at this, we recommend the partial cloverleaf in the northeast corner. The biggest decision making there is what the Baldwins are planning to do, and they have already been talking to a potential developer for the southeast corner. We would hopefully see a development with Buc-ee's there in the near future," Straub said.
A large portion of the property on the east side of I-75 where the interchange will go is part of the historic Baldwin Angus Ranch.

I believe they are still deciding on where it will go... Especially if the new Highway Extension takes longer to get approved. The good news is that they have already purchased their OCALA LLC!

It will be on a i-75 interchange that doesn't exist yet. Just North of where the fedex and chewy distribution centers are.

@@ScorpioBornIn69 Unfortunately it won't be for quite some time yet as the i75 entrance/exit must be completed first.
I live in Ocala and have no idea we had a Bucky's :-)

This one that we visited is in St Augustine FL. The one coming to Ocala will be where the new hwy exit/entrance is coming in just North of the FedEx distribution center. Midway Between hwy 27 and 326.

I believe they are planning/creating the roads, so I don't think it has a street address yet. But it will be just North of the industrial park on the East side of I75.
