Ocakbaşı: Turkish Barbeque ♨️ Meat Scewers On Coal 🤌

Ocakbaşı is a traditional way of grilling in Turkish food culture where the customers have a chance to sit by the barbecue and watch their meat cooked and prepared.
In this video, I visited "Kirvem Ocakbaşı" which is located in Taksim, one of the most famous landmarks of Istanbul. They cook variety of skewered meats such as lamb shish, chicken wings, liver shish, and my favorite: çöp shish. Çöp shish is small chunks of juicy lamb meat cubes on skewers. It is traditionally cooked on coal fire and mostly eaten beside lavash breads (tortillas).
I highly recommend you to visit a Turkish Barbecue (Ocakbaşı) and enjoy that experience. If you like alcohol, you can also have Rakı in most of those places. Again, this place is called " Kirvem Ocakbaşı". The other place I like and like to recommend is "Kenan Usta Ocakbaşı", just near this restaurant.
