This is still my favorite OCR song even after all these years.

Few heroine themes are this beautiful and this version is far more encapsulating of Rena's than the original.

I have a script in my head for an animation/animatic unrelated to the game. 0:00 A young man is showing affection to his aging pupper. He puts a collar and leash on the old doggo and walks him to his car. The dog struggles to get up so his human friend helps him in. Crossdace to next scene. 1:30 Scene transitions to the same doggo, but now a young puppy with his head out the window, tongue flapping in the breeze. The young man, now a boy, is excited for his new best friend, and giggles as the four legged friendo hops on him and licks his face. As soon as the car pulls into the drive, the energetic puppy hops out of the car. Scene transitions mid hop. 2:13 the, now, old dogger's paws hit the pavement, having had his human friend carry him out. He leads him into the veterinary clinic where they are alone with only a receptionist. The receptionist solemnly nods to the room they have to go in. The young man walks in that direction and is greeted by a veterenarian. then the scene cuts to him Petting his friend who is happy just to be there with his human. The young man then picks up his aging comrade. Cross fade to next scene. 2:58 The young boy places the happy pupperoni on his bed, puppy barking and yapping and jumping up on his new best friend. After playing for a short minute, the boy presents him with a new collar. with just the collar visible, the boy raises it up as if to put in on the energy riddled puppo. Crossfade to next scene. 3:42 With the same collar held up, the young man then holds it close to his chest before he places it on a lovingly made wooden cross. He then gets down on his knees and weeps for the loss of his best friend.

Man, I have been looking for this rearrangement for SO long. I associate this specific rearrange with some wonderful memories of my childhood. Stunning work friend; thank you for sharing your gift with the world!

an awesome game drowned in time very few know it exists.

Yeah right, lots of people like the Star Ocean series. It has a cult following. Also Star Ocean fans tend to be more chill and fun than many other Fandoms out there. You may just not be looking in the right places if you think there are so few. 😀

God, what an amazing version of this wonderful song. Love it when the second strange arrangement kicks in. Simply wonderful, Dale North did a fantastic job even back then.

So Beautiful, just love it. played this game like 13 years ago, didnt play it through though. i didnt have the patience to finnish games at that time. perhaps a new summer project to play it again. but anyways, I Always seems to return to the soundtrack :)
