@@theoldproject7394miss me with that "Man of the house" bullshit. He was at as much risk as them. Just because he has balls and is slightly taller, doesn't alleviate him from danger. The cops were the right people to call, but they didn't call them. I do think it's vital to protect your kids, but when all of you are in clear danger, and you can call the police without getting anyone hurt (ie, staying in the house) then that's what you should do. Besides, fighting her off won't really make a difference, because this bitch is crazy. Putting her in jail is a lot more safe for you, and your family.

Anyone who thinks this is fake needs to rewatch the video. Things like this happen and I’ve seen it happen. My uncle had a psychotic ass girlfriend who literally tried to kill him because she “got bored of dating him” and then once he got out of the hospital she guilt tripped him back into dating her saying that he must have been seeing and hearing things. I’ve never seen my uncle this helpless because my uncle used to fight people on the streets just because they looked tougher, if they had a weapon or not. People like this do exist and this story is probably the scariest story I’ve ever heard off of reddit

This reminds me of one of my older brother’s ex girlfriends. She was obsessed with him and hated when he visited my siblings and I. Every time he did she would always come with. My brother and I are super close and I would hug him and stay close to him whenever he came over due to him being in college and not being able to visit often. His girlfriend got incredibly jealous of me being affectionate with MY brother, and my mom saw on multiple occasions her mean mugging me or scowling. Needless to say they didn’t last a year.

This dad is the worst. I would feel so betrayed by his dereliction of duty to protect the family and their sense of security. He had no logical reason to not call the police with the baseball bat incident. He's like a horror movie dad insisting that they continue to stay in the demon-possessed cabin.

These guys are the BIGGEST idiots for not calling the cops early on. Even if not to press charges, but just to create a record of these instances with the authorities if in the future any false allegations are made against the brother of the entire family, seeing that the ex is a pathological liar and in need of help.

This is why in these situations you need to report them to the police as soon as it becomes apparent there is a problem. Even if the police brush it off and claim there's nothing thry can do, insust on filing a report anyway. That way there's a paper trail for when things inevitably escalate. If you wait until things get really bad before reporting, they'll treat it like a first offense rather than the latest in a long line of things they've done.

I really hope that this story is fake. Because if it isn't, then the family are complete idiots. She harrassed OP after her boyfriend broke up with her for lying about SA which is grounds for complete NC. Called saying she's gonna unalive herself and then her brother got back together with her and tried to blame OP for having those very thoughts. That alone is cause for a restraining order. The fact that they didn't call the cops during her episode with a bat outside their home and laughing off how serious she was getting just proves how clueless and foolish they were. Never mind the stuff that happens afterwards.

I'm not trying to victim blame but the parents are kind of nonchalant about this whole thing? They're reluctant to call the cops throughout all the years of abuse and stalking and even try to pass off OP getting scared from the flashing light. There's no guarantee that the entire situation could've been avoided, but the psycho literally came to their house with a bat. If that's not a good enough reason to call the cops, then I don't know what is.

It's pretty normal to be extremely reluctant to call police. When you have no hard evidence on your side, even more so. Even when they did, they had no hard evidence -- and the police could not act, until the stolen dog was discovered.

If this is a real story, the parents are the real ones at fault. Seriously. Since the start the OP wanted to call the cops but the parents didnt find it serious enough to call the cops. Until when danger really comes then they react that way? What horrible parents... If I was the OP, I wouldn't care about my parents and call the cops when he was in high school, since the beginning.
